Solskjaer's just gone and got himself sacked before they play us, hasn't he?

Great, we play them just in time for the ‘new manager bounce’!

06 Oct 2019 18:29:50
Please! I don't want him to be sacked. They should give him at least another five or ten seasons for him to rebuild.

I've just looked at the table, and if we beat Manchester United and other results go certain ways (i. e. teams below them winning and Villa Vs Brighton a draw) . They could be bottom three.

I know that all of that coming off is unlikely, but it would be very very funny.

Epic, I'm now convinced that Solskjaer will relegate them if given the full season. They've just lost to Newcastle who have a dearth of Premier League quality in their squad and are managed by statistically one of the worst managers in the history of the Premiership.

In terms of pure player quality, they have problems, but I'd still have them mid table. With how close the mid table is they could be 6th with the right management (btw, it gives me no end of pleasure to write that sentence) . But he has them playing like comatose sloths.

Don't see much chance of them beating us at Anfield regardless of who's in the dugout, they just haven't got the quality. But basically they're like Everton now. Can't win anything, so a result against us is all they really have to play for. If they had someone who could fire their players up in the dressing room and make them scrap for it, it could be fairly uncomfortable. Whereas if Solskjaer is still there, they'll still be strolling around in a disinterested daze and any urgency from us at all will result in a 3-0 win.

Whoever is incharge, they aren't capable of giving us a good game, we'll do them I have no doubts about it. Leicester were the team of this month I was most concerned about. Solskjaer though, he's doing a grand job isn't he? I love it, I'm a top fan of his.

That starting 11 is woeful. Mctominay is average at best but standing out in a awful midfield. Mata is past it, James is promising but can't be expected of too much, and Rashford seems shot of confidence. Defensively, two Yong players who don’t seem like they have big futures, Ashley young (enough said) and slabhead. De gea must be looking around the dressing room and thinking what am I doing here.

Something Red. If he isn't sacked after that (and I'm fairly confident that he won't be) then what will it take? It doesn't look like he'll walk as he's so grateful to be in the job in the first place.

McGuire and Wan-Bissaka must be wondering what they've got themselves into (apart from a fatter wallet) . Leicester and Palace are both much better than this Manchester United side and the league table proves it.

I wonder what odds you'd get on Sheffield Utd, Newcastle, Southampton and Everton to all win their next game and leapfrog past them. Actually, now that I've said that, if I don't put a bet on it's bound to happen, haha.

I agree Firmane. You forgot Fred, he is woeful. The English Real Madrid is in a tailspin right now. They'll be back though. It will take a few seasons, but it is so cyclical.

Utd dug their own graves the day they gave OGS the job full time. OGS as well dug his own grave by accepting a job that was clearly too big for him. His former team mates in the punditry class did not help him either, using their platform to put pressure on Woodward to hire him full time. I don't even know if Woodward wanted OGS permanently cos he prolly was looking for a more high profile pick.

Now the dye is cast and Utd not only screwed up the managerial appointment, they screwed up their whole recruitment strategy by well, not having one. Will he get the sack? At this point, if they sack him then they lose the PR battle and a large section of the fans will turn on Woodward (a guy they hate by the way) . If they keep him, another section of the fan base will turn on Woodward for not doing anything to stop the bleeding. Lose-Lose situation, really.

RedWolf. Stop giving them the credit by calling them "United". There's plenty of "Uniteds" around and they're no longer the best and no longer deserve to be called that. Sheffield, West Ham, Leeds, and of course Newcastle (who showed today that they were the better United) .

When you hear someone shout "United" now, assume that they're a West Ham fan.

06 Oct 2019 23:44:42
Good point, Potato. I watched West Ham vs Man U and it drove me mad that the commentator called the losing team ‘United’ all match when there were two Uniteds onthe pitch.

Lads, we can’t take them for granted. Last season they had 10 players injured but we still couldn’t break them down. They will do everything they can do to stop us in two weeks.

I expect a tough game.

07 Oct 2019 11:50:20
we should beat manU, but 'should' never bags the 3 points lol
couple weeks for them to plot away etc, hope we return from the break fit and with some form.

07 Oct 2019 19:15:42
If we get 3 points at Old Trafford, we equal Chelsea's record of winning their first 9 games of the season in the Premier League. I can't think of a worse way to not complete that than not getting all 3 points against this Man United side.

Man U fans are so down right now. For them, it would be like winning the league to just get a point against us. They have really fallen that far.

Yo Epic, slow down, man. I thought you were going to jump off your PC or phone keyboard and sort me out, lol.
