Ed 002.

Regarding the potential Nike deal with the club, Is it correct that on top of the reported £30m per season for the rights to manufacture Liverpool's kit, Nike have offered 20 per cent royalties on sales of all LFC merchandise?

Given Nike's greater distribution network it could be massive.

{Ed002's Note - No, that is not how it works. The royalties are not related to sales but clear profits.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we are on court today are we not Ed? With NB trying to sort the mess out. NB want to remain with us. How do you see this panning out Ed, as regards to who will be our sponsor next season?

{Ed002's Note - I don’t know how it will turn out but if Liverpool are in breach of the contract then there are two options available - strike a similar or better deal with NB, else negotiate a pay off for NB that they accept.}

Yes we are in court today mate.

i am following it currently and looks like new balance's' distribution offerings are being over inflated, not looking good for them.

Seems like we have got ourselfs in another avoidable mess. 20% on clear profit will agin be very hard to prove. £30m up front then the rest on profit, only time will tell if a good deal and will on rest on success on the pitch.

A lot cleverer people than us are negotiating this deal, i don't know how anyone on hear can conclude we've gotten ourselves into a mess. The club has been run magnificently from head to toe the last few years, we've no reason to believe that trend won't continue.

Some people just like to complain when things aren't going perfectly.

because there is a lot of clever people in here as well Jadon .
This is should 've been avoided full stop . and a club that is run magnificently should n't be in courts every other month for one thing or another .

Roy I sit on the board of numerous companies and as much as I agree with your sentiment the fact is that when a lot of money is involved there are often disputes in courts - even whilst companies and individuals still work together. It’s sadly just the way of the world.

It is quite normal and should not necessarily be seen as a negative reflection on the club.

Ps no football expert can say Liverpool are particularly bad as I can quote as many cases or more about any of the other so called big clubs and the recent or ongoing cases against them.
