Ed 02, you have stated about Salah in the past that he and his agent have basically touted his services but was laughed out of town with his demands, surely if you know about this our players and managers also do which is not healthy for any team.

{Ed002's Note - The club are well aware of what his agent has been doing.}

Not sure why people are too bothered about this. Salah is the most expendable of our front 3 and I'm sure the club will have suitable replacements in mind. If Salah wants to leave, let him leave. No point holding onto a player whose head is elsewhere.

To be honest mate, I think we would be sound without him, also whilst we can I would get the silly enough money we can for him an go all out for timo werner, i don't like the idea of players not fully committed with one eye on moves away, I can see him going back too Italy anyways at some stage .

I'd go for both Werner and Sancho to replace Salah and Shaq.

Thanx for the reply ed, I think with that in mind the club would have half an eye on waiting for the right time too sell him an can see that being at the end of this season, I am a big fan of his but I would rather have players who are 100 percent committed.

A club will have to be willing spend huge amounts on him and currently there's no obvious indication that any of the handful of teams who could afford him are in the market for a 100mil+ winger who's creeping up on his 30s. Barcelona and Madrid have just invested similar money this summer on griezzman and hazard, bayern seem to hold sane as their number 1 target while gnabry and coman could kick on this season. Coutinho will likely be at either bayern or Barcelona also while the possible availability of neymar or mbappe might see salah not even be a major target for the top teams. I couldn't see him swapping us for the French league to join PSG as I think he's not that type of person. And would he see possibly juventus for example as a good move?

I don't know any of the info at all and only base my prediction from the EDs views on salah and his agents business. Of course the minute a player hits peak and is one of the world's best it's common to expect his agent will try to get the best situation for him and his player. Unless a powerhouse like Madrid or Barcelona show serious desire for salah I can't see him going to a weaker league just for money reasons. He seems to have a huge desire to always be the best player and takes big interest in individual accolades. I'm sure he'll be eying a ballon d'or as his next goal with Messi and Ronaldo dominance coming to an end. Going to Italian or French league would be a step down in his career and I don't think he'd swap that for money personally but I may be very wrong.

People need to be careful what they wish for. Salah has been huge for us, some short memories at times, forget the bs end of the day he's a great player for the team and has been since he joined but suddenly we'd be ok without him? come off it. Sure if we got mega money for him and went all out for a replacement, that could happen but what if that replacement didn't work out? it happens, let's enjoy him whilst we have him.

If he wants out? so be it, end of the day the best thing here is, he's not letting that affect his time on the pitch, if it was I'd be saying get him out immediately but he's still giving it his all so we have no room for complaint, whatever goes on in the background is none of our business.

I know nothing but I get the impression he's very happy at Liverpool, that'll do me.

People really need to get over this, it’s been done to death.

How on Earth anyone thinks over 50 league goals across 2 seasons is expendable is beyond me. To replace you’re talking an mbappe type signing which is not going to happen.

Who cares if he’d like to move at some point? As long as his performances on the field don’t suggest such, i've no qualms with Salah whatsoever.

Spot on, Shaq and Salah, people had better be careful how they go on and on about this "We will be okay or won't suffer w/ o him" stuff when it comes to Salah. IMO, we will regret it big time should we hastily let Salah go, Big Time. I think have this naive notion co we have been spoiled by Klopp and these boys with their production over the years that if one is angling for a move, we can then just dismiss his level of production. Do that at your own peril, IMO.

If people think it is easy to replace Salah (who has scored over 75 goals in all comps. since he came here) with a drop of a hat then you are gravely mistaken. IMO just having one of our front three will improve any team. We have the luxury of having ALL three of them and some of us are acting as if we won't feel Salah's absence that much. Trust me, we will and we should do all we can to keep him here until it is indeed time for him to go on our terms, not his.

Have to agree, would rather the club weren’t in a position where we have to find a replacement for Salah

Ok he has his off games but it’s not just his goals etc, it’s also the mind set of the opposition, when he’s in the team it gives the opposing manager a real dilemma on how to approach the game.
