Just been looking at the fixtures and although we are clearly stacked from now until Christmas. Man City will play Chelsea, Leicester, Man U and arsenal (the last one is a gimme I know) before Christmas now that’s not easy!

No game is easy mate, you can only play what is in front of you. We all play the same teams the same number of times in a season, sometimes you have good days and others you have bad. Let's just concentrate on our own games, winning them is all that is important to Liverpool football club.

Saw this last week as well, might explain why pep has reverted to the mind games trick for this weekend. They can’t afford to be 9 points behind going into those fixtures. He will know the next month is massive for city, not just this weekend.

Cheers.

Depends if Unai Emery is still there. If he is gone it could be a tough game with the new manager bounce and all that.

Istanbul you say no game is easy but they are for city most teams turn up knowing that there going to lose they roll over for them. . That’s why I pointed out Chelsea, Leicester, and Man U (Darby) Because they will turn up on the day.

Longthing, against the '' top 6'' how many points did city drop last season, add the season before that too if you care to. Then look at the points the dropped against the rest of the league. No game is easy on paper, every game is unpredictable.

Out of those fixtures I've got my eye on Brendan to snatch a few points off city.

OP, I am still fully weary of this City team regardless of the result today. I mean, we were 3-0 up and it looked like City could score 3 goals and really, they could have were it not for their lack of lucidity and good decision-making on their side. This team had rattled off 14 straight wins (won 18 of their last 19 games) last season to win the PL by a point. What did we do? All we did was (with a 5 point lead) draw three of our last 14 games and we lose the PL by a point. These are the margins (and team) we are dealing with. If any team can catch us, it IS City. We are 9 points ahead. Great. That's City's problem now. We move on.

I'm also not going to ever rule out city but this isn't the same city you say won 18 of their final 19 games last season. This is a city side who've lost 3 games this season and have dropped more points at home already than they have over last 2 years. They've had arguably the easiest on paper first 12 fixtures of anyone and have dropped points in 4 of those, tougher fixtures will only cause more issues.

We're now the team who don't lose games. city are far from the dominant team of the past 2 years who rarely dropped points, they're showing they have more weakness than ever under pep while our current run of results over last 20-30 games suggests even a dip in form would not see us dropping points for too long a period.
