If we haven't done all we can too keep Gini at the club it's a huge shame, if he wants a fresh challenge I would respect that and wish him all the very best .
But if we have the possibility of keeping him experienced quality operators are priceless and his character as a man is everything u would want . I hope he stays beyond next season .

He'd be off to Barcelona with koeman there. He is the sort of steel they need in the midfield and tbh we cannot do much about it.
Will miss him but we move on.

{Ed002's Note - Barcelona have not made any approach to sign Wijnaldum. During the interview process Koeman asked for a midfield player to be signed for him and the club agreed to try - and it wasn't GW. If that situation changes then perhaps Liverpool will look to sell.}

I totally second that, I genuinely hope Thiago doesn’t come to the detriment of Gini, as good a player Thiago is and I’d welcome him if we could afford both, but if I have to pick out the pair of them I’d keep Gini all day, for all the obvious reasons and the fact he is now embedded into the club and Klopps methodology on the pitch.

Davy Klaasen to Barcelona then?!

Morgan Schneiderlin?!

Tom Cleverly and Darron Gibson should book their tickets for Barcelona now.

Gini has 0 assists in the premier league this season. There is a reason Naby was playing at the end of the season.

Thiago (the ultra world class cm) has 2. So what?

Watched a clip of Liverpool training in Austria. Dunno if I'm reading too much into anything. Gini walks in, gives virg a hug then says hi to a member of staff. Then he looks at Hendo and gini's smile dropped just before he sets eyes on Jordan. Like he found it a little awkward.

As ed says "liverpool will look to sell" so its pretty evident its liverpool who looking to move him on and not gini looking to leave.
He pretty much could have been a casualty any, he has always been available under.

its not illegal for Klopp to contact anyone. Let’s assume he has the wherewithal to not say outright “will you join Liverpool”?
There’s a host of ways that the player and his agent can be informed of interest so let’s also assume that Liverpool make use of these too.
Klopp might ‘game the system’ but I’ve not seen any charges brought against the club recently or articles in the media about alleged tapping up.
Perhaps someone would like to submit one and risk libel?
Otherwise change the record please.
