Ed002
I know we don't discuss finances, but I was reading about the Deloitte money league. Was curious if you'd be willing to explain that a bit. Whatever you would want to do.

Cheers either way

{Ed002's Note - I am not sure what you would liek to know. It is no more than a summary of the top earning clubs and where the money is derived from (commercial, match day or broadcast). It is no more than an analysis of statistics and there is nothing to it really - it is of no real relevance to anyone.}

Ed I’m not asking about money! But it says Barcelona are shooting up because they are doing a lot of stuff inhouse like merchandise and licensing now and that’s the way forward what’s that mean? Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - I don't understand the question. Barcelona have a different deal over the kit than most. And they are a bigger draw than all but RM.}

Hi ed, does the exchange rate effect the figures? ie if the £ increases 10% does that matter.

{Ed002's Note - No.}

Surely barcelonas increased revenue is down to them never having a sponsor for years then being UNICEF. So over the last decade it must have shot right up. I appreciate you saying it has no relevance to anyone but I spent hours with spurs fans in their stadium on Saturday and that's all they care about. They have been brainwashed by Levy into thinking because the have a great stadium and apparently make over £800,000 on a match day it makes no odds how rubbish they've become on the pitch. It's almost like a trophy for them.

{Ed002's Note - I am afraid you don't understand the situation with UNICEF and the foundation. You maybe want to take it to the Spurs page.}

Ed's 002. I wash implying they made money from UNICEF. Quite the opposite. I was suggesting that Barcelonas rise in recent years must have come from the fact the last 5 years give it take they have had sponsors on the front of the shirt Qatar airways and Rakuten. Even though I guess that still is only a very small percentage of cake. But anyway it's nice to see Liverpool performing on and off the pitch such a change from the Hicks and Gillette era.

{Ed002's Note - The English sides benefit from higher broadcast revenue - and that increases with success in Europe. Liverpool now need to sustain being in the Champions League.}
