It’s now when not if.
Records will be broken. The one record that I am most keen on is that if we win the next 5 games we will have won 37 and drawn 1 of the last 38 consecutive games (equivalent to a full season) . A points score of 112 out of 114.
Let’s enjoy the rest of the season and marvel at the accomplishments.

Just to put things in context, city hold the record for most consecutive wins, at 18, I think we are on 13. There’s a reason its The record because no one has done better. There’s a reason only one team has gone undefeated. Because it’s not easy. As soon as we start talking about breaking records we lose focus. There’s a lot of football to be played especially before we start talking records.
{Ed001's Note - actually more than one team has gone undefeated. Football did not start in the Prem era!}

No matter how much Sky Sports wish that was the case tho ed!
{Ed001's Note - very true, they do try their best to make it a separate sport pre-Prem.}

In England only two. Arsenal and Preston (in 1888/ 89).
{Ed001's Note - is that not more than one?}

I didn’t know about Preston! Kind of proves my point though, in 130+ years only two teams have done it, so we shouldn’t count our chickens at just over mid Way!

Definitely not. Wolves away is a dangerous game. Wolves have been my second team for a couple of seasons now. Play nice football, they have a few players who would get in our squad. I like the manager.
But, they look knackered. We need to play on that. Keep switching play and sending salah and mane on runs against cbs.

Spot on, Robbie. I penciled in Spurs, Utd and Wolves as games where we could drop points and that has not changed regarding Wolves. That will be a dangerous game and they would be up for it BUT we would too so looking forward to it.

This undefeated record is being given far too much attention. Arsenal drew 13 of their 38 games which shouldn't be regarded as superior to a side who might lose once and draw maybe 3 or 4. It's clear that it's far more impressive to achieve what city did twice, Chelsea once or twice, us once and on course to do again.
Since when is a team regarded as one of the greats when they failed to beat their opponent on 13 occasions? It's much harder to win 90% of games and slip up once than to simply avoid defeat while only capable of winning matches 66% of your season.
Would we only have been respected as superior to that arsenal side if we drew 1-1 at the etihad last season for people to care so much about that record being achieved this season.
