I would really love to see Keita in the lineup on Saturday. Perhaps Minamino or Origi as well.

Agree7 Disagree0

Why? the first choice players need a game.

11 Feb 2020 22:10:15
Keita is a first choice, whenever he's fit he starts.

11 Feb 2020 22:37:42
He’s never fit though and he’s not first choice. The ox will start ahead of him all day long!

Wishful thinking thunderbird, first choice is hendo fab gini. Keita is a first team player and I think brilliant. Id love him to nail down a spot, atm he is just behind the ox imo.

I really like Kieta but his appearance stats for us don’t read great. In the last 2 seasons he’s only featured in 32 premier league games (starting 18 of those) . Compare that to the Ox who’s featured in 19 and he was out for almost a year with a serious injury. You could probably say similar about Origi but the truth is Origi is more effective off the bench for us than he is a starter and when we bought Naby it wasn’t to be a player from the bench not at that price surely. I just hope he gets a decent run from now until the end of the season with no injuries so he can finally show as what he’s worth.

JK23, I really like Keita too and I think the appearances stat you have used is a bit misleading. Keita played in 33 games in all competitions last season (don’t know how many he started), scoring 3 goals, and has played in 16 games in all competitions this season (don’t know how many he started), scoring 3 goals. That’s 49 appearances and 6 goals in the last 2 seasons - with13 PL games left and still in the CL and FA Cup, if he stays fit (I know it’s a big if) he could get up to 60 plus appearances and maybe 10 goals in 2 seasons. That wouldn’t be brilliant but it wouldn’t be disastrous either.

Wirral agree mate but if you compared those stats to Hendo and Wiji (79 I believe majority started) I bet he would be way off. Not a bashing of the player as I really want him to succeed. It just feels like he’s never available. Similar to Shaq this season.

JK23, it's only normal that Hendo and Gini have played and started more games than Naby cos well, they are not as injury prone and are Klopp's most trusted midfield generals who know the system on a granular level. Naby is not at this level yet even tho talent wise, he is a special player.

IMO, Naby is a fantastic talent and having watched a tonne of him playing at RBL before he came to us, I have no doubt about that. His injuries and he kind of injuries he has often, tell me that maybe his lifestyle is not legit and he is not doing enuff off the pitch to keep himself fit. There is a special player in there if only he can play say 10 games successively cos when he has played regularly, he has been fantastic and just when you think he is about to explode, he gets injured again.

Rm that’s what I’m saying mate. I’m not doubting his talent it’s his availability that I’m worried about.

13 Feb 2020 04:14:33
What I'm trying to use as optimism is the fact he never seemed overly injury plagued in previous years and might come right soon. we've seen the OX and Gomez battle with injuries their career but we are backing them.
