Think the most frustrating thing last night was the fact we didn't have one shot on target.

Sometimes when teams park the bus and make it difficult, rather than try and walk the ball inti the net, take a few long range shots, mix it up a bit.

{Ed001's Note - we had a fair few long range shots, Fabinho hit at least 2 for starters.}

Was there a target in the crowd that they were all trying to hit?

I think you have to give them credit for the result, they defended the 1 goal lead very well and we couldn't find a way through. We didn't play badly it is what it is. I still fancy us to go through with the Annfield crowd behind us.

For games like these you need the little gem in midfield who can pick a pass through the eye of a needle
Step forward Keita for the second leg.

They were so compact, content to let us have it wide, and defend crosses etc (which were rarely decent) . Think we could have done with maybe dropping bobby into AM with another attacker up top, just not Salah, thought his touch was poor too much and it just wasnt happening for him. We needed to try another approach than to stick to the usual. But, confident it will be turned around at Anfield.

Pretty sure Mo’s shot was on target, but as it was blocked it didn’t register under the shots on target total.

We did not play well enuff to win that game last night and part of it is down to how AM played. They got a lucky goal very early in the game and played their tactics perfectly. They are the best in Europe at parking the bus. Jose is a choir boy compared to El Cholo when it comes to stifling the opposition. We all have to get better, prepare harder for the second leg cos trust me, AM will do the exact same thing.
