Euros postponed till 2021 can only be a good think.

One less obstacle to continuing the season later.

{Ed002's Note - The reason is to facilitate finishing by the end of June.}

Should just resume the games Behind closed doors. I know there’s bigger things going on in the world but this site is obviously about Football, just play the games after the 2 week isolation. Fair play to UEFA for having the balls to actually make a decision.

It might help, considering they have only at present postponed 3 match-days, and the expected increase in cases of Covid19, when do you think the cut off point would be to abort all fixtures. I'm guessing restarting games needs to be around last week of May to allow for 2 match days a week, but haven't even factored in FA, UCL or Europa cups, so maybe even a couple of weeks earlier for those teams still involved.

And with COVD19 speculated to go into June, we should be prepared to play thru the summer if we want to finish the season at all.

Finishing the domestic season by June Ed seems far fetched at the minute mate to me, doesn’t it you?

{Ed002's Note - We don't know, but I suspect it might be difficult.}

Sorry for being ignorant ed02.so the season will be completed now?

{Ed002's Note - No - this is simply as expected to allow the European leagues to play through June if possible.}

I suppose it would all depend on each countries position at the time and whether they can complete their season.
Maybe contingency plans will be made in the event some are unable to.

I wonder if there are contingency plans/ decisions in place in the event some counties are unable to complete their seasons, pending their current situation.

Playing behind closed doors is no longer an option . Even with no spectators there will at least be over 100 people (players, subs coaches, medics, pen pushers, TV etc etc) involved and present.

There are over 15000 on the barracks I still go to work on there will come a point when everyone goes back to work, this virus isn't going to be miraculously eradicated over night it will just be managed.

I have to continue to work in a school with over 600 people and my missus has to work in a hospital with many more so I'm sure super fit 20 year olds, with private transport to and from the stadium and the best health care in the world can play football behind closed doors after their two week isolation. It's what they're paid very well to do.
