So the worse case figures for the furlough would be, 200 staff (figure reported by PA news agency) and the max limit they could claim £2,500 per staff member is £500,000.00 a month. Then multiply that figure by the amount of months which is currently unknown. This is worse case as it’s likely some staff will be earning less then the 30k a year.

The reason so many are frustrated is because compared to a footballers wage this seems relatively small.

Based on the above 200 figure and say 23 first team players between them, on paper, they could cover this or at least sort it between the club and players.

We have no idea who came up with this but I hope that FSG get this resolved as it will damage the image of the club if not looked at.

Other clubs incl Man City and Everton have taken different routes. Hopefully we will amend ours.

I'm hoping someone in the HR and Finance department came up with it and just went ahead without going up the food chain for approval. I also know that I'm probably wrong, which saddens me.
