So the hashtag #dontbuythesun is trending on twitter.

And the political editor of the paper, won't mention his name, has posted an image begging for people to buy papers but with an lfc mug perched on the s*n.

How can an lfc fan work for that paper? And how can you be so naive to not know of the history between the club you support and the paper you work for.

{Ed025's Note - if i see one i immediately rip it up WYred..

There are other uses for it during these times of shortages :)

I don’t blame you ed025, and hope you are keeping well.

Working for them is one thing, but to then place the mug on top of that rag tipped me over the edge. All I can imagine is he has done it to get more tweets and reactions, which is even worse.

{Ed025's Note - some people have no scruples mate..

I'm sure it'd be great to line my cats' litter box, Jonesy, but I'd still be giving them money by buying it.

It has to be some sort of stunt by the c*nts. Wy. Firstly to maybe trick some into thinking that some of us don’t think so badly of them anymore ( as fkn if) but more likely to wind us up.

I won't buy or support anything that the toe-rag Murdoch has anything to do with.

I want to ask a question and I mean the greatest respect when I do so. What needs to happen before the City of Liverpool and all those who support it, remove the boycott? Aside from it being a rag written by people loosely described as journalists, there is the moral question. Could there be a point in time when nobody who works for or owns the paper was around in 1989. Or is it because the paper has it’s own vendetta against the city of Liverpool with its insincere apologies and continued lies this can only be a fight to the death?

I’m asking to understand as I’m not from Liverpool and only really know about the shocking material from 1989. I don’t really understand what has happened since that tragic period.

{Ed025's Note - my guess would be that that rag will never be accepted on merseyside g1, i was around at the time and what was published about the supporters and the people of liverpool was sickening and totally untrue, when the whole of the country should have been in mourning and sympathetic to the victims and their families, that paper (loose term) was spouting propaganda about suppoters being drunk and that it was self inflicted, they also told stories of suppoters looting the bodies of the fallen and those things are unforgivable, i could tell you a lot more but it still pains me to this day as a knew a couple of the victims mate, stay safe, stay inside and protect the NHS..

I’m with ed25 It will never be accepted. I drum it into my kids and will have them drum it into any kids they have.

{Ed025's Note - some things can never be forgiven john..this is one of them mate..
