They should also look at point deductions if large groups of fans turn up at any of the neutral locations. Sure I read that this had been considered elsewhere in Europe.

Cheers Ed, should we take any notice of the date UEFA have put forward of May 25th were they want a proposal date on when all Leagues including the PL can conclude?

From what I've gathered this year, if they deployed a points deduction for fans turning up then 70% of opposing fans would be showing up to the Liverpool games dressed in red :)

And I’m your opinion Ed is it viable to play games at the mentioned venues? There must be other groups as potential venues as the shear volume of games left to play, how would it work, what has been proposed please?

{Ed002's Note - I don't think it is viable to play games at all in the short term and the stating of dates is simply giving pointless targets. Wembley does not seem practical at all - St Georges perhaps as they have multiple pitches.}

Thanks for clearing that up Ed.

I guess this season makes sense, it allows them to systemise everything for deep cleans and regular testing if games at same ground and staying in same hotel for the period to finish season.

Can't imagine players being overly happy in a hotel for 6 weeks tho away from family with what's going on.

I’m not sure why the FIFA Medical Chief deems it necessary to get involved too. So many mixed messages from differing bodies. As if next season is miraculously going to be unaffected too. At best, delayed and behind closed doors, at worst all this could recur again!

I wouldn’t say beyond Liverpool Ed, though admittedly Liverpool are at the forefront of my thoughts.
But the idea that say 100-150 people in a closed, controlled environment kicking a football around is going to suddenly exponentially increase a risk that is already present is difficult to bear. I’ll take you to any supermarket in the country with that number of people present, many of them working for £10 / hour too.
Risk and hazard are different things and the risk of a football game behind closed doors is not going to change the situation at all in my view.
The hazards have to be managed to reduce the risk, otherwise we’re all going to be sitting in our living rooms come Xmas?

If it isn’t, then many people will be going back to work, sitting on buses, trains and tubes, and mingling in termini and in the street. Hotels, some football related, are already full of key workers and they’re able to operate.
And if this season is cancelled to prepare for next, how are those preparations made? Can footballers play competitively at all over Summer to prepare for a possible August CL resumption and September league return?
And if the league does return behind closed doors in September, then presumably mass gathering and social distancing is still in force yet the game can still be played?
That’s a contradiction in itself is it not?
The idea that football is not possible in July but suddenly is a month later is illogical.

The wards used for at Arrowe Park were isolated well and away from the main hospital, so were one of the best places for the people returning from China.
None of them had the virus so aside from the fact you're talking out your backside, your insensitive statement was wrong, plus none of those people are at the hospital anymore. That was in February
Also, Prenton Park is 3 miles away from Arrowe Park.
