I see we appeared to be playing hard ball over Timo Werner over his price at 52 million, wanting to get him at 30 million.

If they deem that to be expensive and may walk away, why would we then look at Victor OsImhen at around 72 million?

I don't want to come across as an expert over either, but Victor Osimhen is supposed to be a really special player. Possibly the best even Nigerian player.

Werner is showing that he's a great player right now, but Osimhen looks to be the real deal for a player in a year or two.

£72m for Osimhen is money badly spent. Have a look some French League games. He’s never worth that much, has no composure in front of goal, aside from being a big target man who can run quickly, he’s not got much to his game, from what I’ve seen I can’t think he offers anything different to Origi. I’d rather we spent the money on Werner, he’s genuinely a top player and has been consistent for a few years.

That isn’t true at all you cannot have watched him very often if that if your analysis of him.

@6Times

to be fair the same could be said for Drogba when he was in France and Chelsea signed him. I remember he even got a lot stick in his first season in the Premier League. he turned out alright didn't he?

I think it depends on the manager and coach. Are they willing to work with the player/ transfer target to improve him and iron out weaknesses in his game (players attitude and application is also important)

There really isn’t a £70m+ player there, the same as when Lille sold Pepe to Arsenal, whoever pays that is going to get mugged.
