Next season sure has a interesting dynamic with the games likely played behind closed doors.

If you asked me a couple of months ago id say Liverpool would be strong favourites for the title next season.

However no fans at Anfield could impact us hard. City are far more accustomed to playing in front of empty seats 😂.

Jurgen and his staff will sort it out.

Whatever the circumstances we face we will be ready.

We are going to be chasing number 20 .

Not being cocky but super confident that we are currently the best club side in world football.

Tommy gun I would rather get 19 finished before I put number 20 in the bag.

OP, I see your point BUT that situation will be the same for everyone so the challenge will be the same (except of course for City, who are used to playing in front of "crowds" at the Emptyhad, lol) .

All jokes aside tho, Klopp is on top of things and is already preparing his boys mentally to get used to playing at an empty Anfield so not fussed about that.

I do agree with Grino75 that let's get this season done first before thinking about next season.

I honestly believe playing in an empty stadium will affect us more than most as the players seem to become more energised in those moments the crowd raises the roof after a big challenge or moment of brilliance. Bigger still is the affect the crowd has on the opposition as they often start panicking under the weight of our 12th man. It’ll definitely be a new test for our mentality monsters. YNWA.

{Ed002's Note - The club plan on playing the Grateful Dead at full blast to really give the team a boost.}

Could certainly see some mad results, not sure I see someone winning with 90 odd points again.

Ed002 - I always saw Klopp as a Led Zeppelin man myself.
The grateful dead song selection would have to be done right, pick the wrong song and the players instead of being energised, would sadly very quickly become fatigued and dare I say it bored.
If were going with American bands, The Doors would be a better bet, pipe Jim Morrison through the speakers and the lack of crowd noise would soon be forgotten.

The converse could be true. Teams with vocal leaders who can make themselves heard and organise their side well could prosper.
We’ve got plenty of those, Hendo, VVD, Milner, Robbo etc.
The best team/ s will still win, empty stadium or not imo.

I’d be interested to know whether people think it will be an advantage to the better teams, will it be more ‘pure’ football without the emotion pouring from the stands. Those moments when pressure builds and the fans sense that and really energise their team, or perhaps we fans would like to think that we play a part in it but in fact it has no influence at all. Will teams be quite A’s one the wrack’ without fans screaming and creating tension. All teams can have an off day but when you play Wolves under the lights in front of a baying crowd for example, you get upsets.

Another huge factor for next season will be if City’s European ban is upheld. If they have only the league to focus on for 2 seasons, it would even harder to finish above them!
