Hey fellow reds. Just sharing some good news. I mentioned a while back that my son was due for a trial with the Brisbane Roar here in Oz. He injured his knee early in the trials and had to pull out.
Almost a year later and after a stint with an a grade Brisbane side he's been invited to trial again after impressing for his club.
Not exactly English footy standards, but better than I ever did!

Thanks Tris, keeping the Burke flame burning. My only other football connection is my cousin Mike Marsh, but not the same as your boy doing well. My vicarious life continues. I played Liverpool school boys for a couple of years, but was never going to make it, got to take what I can get when nearly 50.

Hahahaha. With C.V., I didn't get back home this year, but have promised the blue nose that we'll catch up in town for a pint next time I'm there. Would offer to do the same with you Tris, but not a fan of stop overs in either Dubai or Abu Dhabi truth be told ðŸ˜.
