Ed1, I understand your optimism about our young players such as Elliott but, to me, they are lightweight physically and won't be completely ready next season. The only exception I think is Neco Williams and Curtis Jones.

{Ed001's Note - Elliott lightweight? That is nonsense and suggests a lack of knowledge of the youngsters.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Physically ed1.

{Ed001's Note - I know what lightweight means and he is far from lightweight, even though he is just 17.}

Didnt stop David Silva 🙄.

No such thing as a player who is ‘too lightweight’ imo, only players who are not good enough to work with what they have and use their smaller stature to their advantage. Its not basketball, the greatest player of all time is a slender 5’7 argentine. Elliott is absolutely class that is there for all to see, he will be fine.

Elliot’s far from lightweight he’s learnt over the years how to compete against people far bigger than him.

Watch him again and you’ll notice he does not get bullied on the ball at all.

Have a closer look and see how much Elliott has grown since we bought him. And he'll continue growing for at least two more years.

Ed001 on them terms messi is light weight and his had a p! ss poor Career lol.

{Ed001's Note - if Elliott is a lightweight, Messi must be a featherweight.}

Sorry to contradict you Anonymous Woolback but Maradona is only 5’5”.

Dries Mertens and Lorenzo Insigne are hardly what you’d call giants, but they regularly give bigger physical players the run around. particularly ours! It’s not the size of the dog, but the fight in it.

Elliot looks like he has quite a low centre of gravity and looks hard to shift off the ball. If he carries on developing there’s no telling how far he could go.
