With club not having funds to buy competition for the first 11, would it be wise decision to invest in a LB?
I don't think Larouci and Lewis are the answer and Milner is getting on in years and i prefer Joe next to VVD.
What is your take? Maybe someone who can play multiple positions perhaps.
Ox, Takumi, Origi and Elliot can cover for the front 3.

{Ed001's Note - a left back is definitely the priority if they decide neither Larouci nor Lewis has it. It has been a weak spot in the squad for a few seasons now and needs fixing. Trouble is finding one. Bringing Larouci or Lewis through means they at least understand being second choice, buying one is difficult to get quality that is going to be happy playing second fiddle. They either have to believe they are good enough to challenge Robbo or not give a toss about playing. If they are not the former, I don't think we would want them.}

Is there an opportunity to train neco to be able to play both full back roles? Obviously he won't be whipping in crosses with his left but he could do some sort of job. Just thinking out loud.

OP can I ask why you don't think Larouci is the answer? Do you watch under 21's? Or is it based on his 2 FA cup appearances?

I think if we're really going to persist with Larouci (or Lewis or any other youth player) as the backup for Robbo, then they actually have to get a chance to be that backup. Meaning when Robbo isn't playing, that backup is, instead of Milner or Gomez filling in.

he reminds me of Moreno. no positional sense. we can't compare u21 tp premier league level.
I have no fear when Neco comes on. With Larouci i have no confidence.
Maybe he can play LM/ LW but not LB.

But what evidence are you forming your opinion on? Have you watched him regularly or it it based on his 2 FA cup games and a handful of pre season games?

Larouci is not ready yet based on the little I have seen hence, the kid needs a lot of work. Just my opinion.

I have no idea if the rumours are true are not but if it is at all possible we should be going all out to nab Bukayo Saka, should he not want to sign a contract with Arsenal. Can play left back and left wing, that's two positions we desperately need cover for, is an investment for the future and will fit in the same bracket as Elliott and Minamino in being trained for the future iterations of the reds once the front 3 go.

AW, Saka will not be moving to LFC anytime soon. Ed02 already said so.
