Ed01 can't we really get Martin Taylor off for our matche? It's really frustrating to hear him when we score.

{Ed001's Note - I have no idea what you are talking about sorry.}

I think he means Martin Tyler, in which case he’d have a point - the man is a dreadful commentator.
Quite what he expects you to do about it I don’t know, however.

{Ed001's Note - is there such a thing as a good commentator?}

I think you mean Martin Tyler, the commentator on Sky Sports. That dude is on a loser whatever he does. didn't he get criticised for over celebrating Firmino's goal back in January?

Really don't get the flack Tyler gets. To me he's the voice of football for the past few years and is not the same without him.

Livebird. Whilst he wasn't as bad as he has been, I know exactly what you mean. Earlier in the season he seemed almost annoyed when Liverpool scored, and would often cite the other team being poor, whereas any of the other big teams, he would praise them going world class. Yesterday he seemed pretty good though.

could it be his constant references to Manchester United throughout his commentary.

I don't see why commentators have to completely neutral. They are humans so they will have biases.

Having said that it's not easy (maybe impossible) to say interesting things over 95 minutes in 3-4 matches per week. I can't blame them for running out of things to say. I don't mind Martin Tyler at all. At least he doesn't miss too many things unlike the BBC commentators who seem to be watching some other game altogether. Or the American commentators who seem to think they are presenting WWE.

{Ed001's Note - Jim Beglin has to be the worst of the lot. I swear he has his eyes shut until the 5th or 6th replay. He never sees anything until hours after it happened! Utter dross he gibbers on about as well.}

He’s not as bad as Clive Tyldesley who almost always makes reference to “that night In Barcelona”.

Turn the sound off on the tv and listen to the radio commentary instead. Used to work with the cricket and given the appalling Sky and BT commentating, it could hardly be worse.
