Souness comments were out of order last night, Salah was superb again last night, two good finishes again and always in the right place, I wouldn't swap him for any player in the world.

I know it's a dangerous thing to do on these pages but I'm forced to agree with Souness on this rare occasion. Salah is not a team player and never has been. Klopp has built Salah's burning desire to score goals into our system and this has helped to bring amazing success. All good. But it really annoys me to see a fantastic player like Sadio Mane work his socks off knowing that he is never going to get a pass from Salah. It happened at least twice last night, it has been happening for nearly three seasons now.

{Ed001's Note - He is much more of a team player than he is ever given credit for. This is the Souness who sold his story to the Scum to earn a few quid, despite being a multi-millionaire, and he is criticising others for putting themselves ahead of the team! He has a cheek imo. Salah has spent the whole season being double and triple marked, creating space for the rest of the team to work in. That is working for the team, that is being a team player.}

Salah also assists as much if not more than say Mane. Yes he can be greedy at times. But look at Rashford or Fernandes especially. They often take shots from ridiculous distance rather than passing to teammates! Kane is another great example.

Gotta say I don’t think Salah was selfish at all yesterday. I can’t recall a moment where I thought “he should not have taken the shot/ dribbled”. If anything I thought he was constantly looking up to see options when he could have gone ahead and shoot or carry the ball up.

Isn't this the same Salah who is second only to Trent in assists? Ridiculous comments. I love Salah's desire to score and his obvious anger at himself for missing that header at the end to get the hat-trick was great to see. 2 goals and the 3 points wrapped up, alongside a premier league trophy, and it still wasn't enough for him. That hunger makes us the best team in the world currently.

{Ed001's Note - spot on mate. Mane has nowhere near as many assists or chances created for others as Salah, but Salah is criticised for being greedy! I don't get it. Salah put in an exceptional performance yesterday and yet all we read is 'he is greedy, maybe we should cash in on him'. I just don't get it. We have a truly great player in Salah and we should just enjoy him while we can.}

100 goal involvements in 104 games, took Owen 148 games and Fowler 158, this season i think he is only behind KDB and Trent for assists, and then the cheek for someone to call him super selfish. Can't wait for him to score his 100th premier league goal within 4 seasons at the club.

He's a victim of that insane first season he had Ed. I don't understand the abuse he receives from either opposition fans or our fans. The fact remains, he goes straight into any team in the world. 73 goals in 3 season in the premier league is unreal.

{Ed001's Note - spot on mate. People don't seem to spot that he is consistently double or triple marked since then. Last night was the first time since that season that I can remember any team that didn't double up on him and Salah made them pay for that bravery.}

I get surprised by Salah every time he plays. The amount of lost causes he chases. He often makes runs BEFORE Trent, Robbo or Allison have even received the ball. These are often off the screen so we won't even know as TV viewers. He also presses and regularly tracks back during the game. Of course Mane does all of this plus a bit more too but the reason for highlighting Salah is that he has had the comparisons with Messi for 3 years due to his impeccable talent, yet he continues to work hard every single week.

19 goals and 9 assists in the league. Insane statistics, third year on the bounce that he’s going to score more than 20 in a season, Salah is a legend no debate about it.

Salah is the most predatory, alert player I’ve ever seen. Only a handful of players can cope with being triple-marked and still be the deadliest player in the league.

Same old rubbish we hear all the time about Salah being greedy and selfish after he almost scores a quadruple vs Brighton. The guy put in a MOTM performance but all we hear for moaners is how selfish he is whereas there was no time IMO, where the clear pass was on and he did not pass it. They forget that there are many times that Mane does not pass when in a position to do so but non one pops off at him.

If rival fans were kicking off then I would understand and trying to sew division but no, it is coming from our own fans.
Pls, Miss me with all that crap. Salah is a monster of a footballer and a well respected global superstar.

We are where we are partly because of him and after 3 seasons of scoring near 20 goals a season and getting triple teamed, he is still putting up crazy numbers. Like I said, not arsed about Salah and his perceived greed. If you don't like it, start a petition to get him sold and be done with it.

{Ed001's Note - he got 2 goals and an assist, plus MOM and he still gets criticised. It is bizarre.}

I don't agree whatsoever with anyone who is critical of salah and wants him gone with the notion he only cares about himself.

But I do acknowledge that sometimes in clear situations where the obvious best option is a pass to a teammate salah can be guilty of making the decision to back himself when his route to goal is tougher. We can agree that he has had moments that his choice to skip the pass has on occasion been frustrating when that results in us missing out on a teammate having a golden chance to score. I do feel that late counter attack where mane was running central with space ahead of him that salah should have played it early into that space as it was definately the best option to score. It's just those incidents which are so obvious that occur now and then gets fans frustrated but we can't ignore the superstar he's been for us with his quality.

{Ed0666's Note - all these people that bitch about salah’s so called ‘greediness’ are morons. They have zero idea what their talking about.
How many times do you see Ronaldo pass up an opportunity to score when he’s well placed but a team mate is in a better position?
To all those bitches persecuting Salah please stop because you are jumping on a media bandwagon which has no foundation to it. Could he pass more of course he could, he’s 100% culpable of that. When he has the goal in his sight he’s only thinking one thing and that is scoring any hesitation or indecision could be fatal and the chance gone. All the stats suggest he’s not greedy...just sit back and appreciate the virtuoso that’s is Mo Salah.
