Hi eds,

A bit of a random one here: Fabinho has been a revelation playing as the deep lying midfielder, but was he first choice? Remember rumors of Ceballos and Jorginho (operating in a similar role) being mentioned prior to Fabinho signing.

{Ed002's Note - I really don't know as I said.} Clubs look at numerous players and have to consider many things - like would they fit in, would they adapt to the training system, would they cause any grief, etc.. It is never as simple as "Joey Bartion is a good player we should never have let him leave" (this is a quote from 2022 when Steve Caulker is Liverpool manager).}
