Must admit guys,

I'm excited at the prospect of Sorloth and Mitrovic up front next season 😁.

This freshening up of the team will strike fear into all our rivals! Beware! Who will their big men mark from corners? VVD? Sorloth? Mitrovic? Matip? Guaranteed goals!

OP, you may have cracked all my ribs with that one, man.

Can’t wait. Hopefully we bin off Van Dijk for Tyrone Mings while we’re at it.

20 Jul 2020 12:55:19
If Matip would use his head so to speak he could be in double figures each season.

20 Jul 2020 13:03:49
Mings it is then KingCarlos, yeah?

20 Jul 2020 13:17:11
Hi Red Meister, no to Mings we should coach Matip to head, remember Salah first 6 games? we would say if only Salah could shoot on target, now look at him.

Yo unbearable red I can't wait for origi to net his 3 goals for the season, and for shaq too play more than 5 games a season or how could we forget lovren making less than 10 mistakes a season, and if robertson gets injured let's hope that larouci or neco can slot in .
Good luck with all that!

And if VVD pulls a hamstring getting out of bed, and if Alisson burns his hand in the oven. You can't cover all possible scenarios. A multitude of things could happen and you have to deal with it there and then, like we did when Alisson and Fabinho got injured this season.

I never said Origi an Shaqiri were perfect just I'd sure rather have them than Sorloth or Mitrovic. Don't be hurt cos i disagree and made a joke, it's a banter page mate.

20 Jul 2020 16:41:21
Ha, I think it's hilarious that you are getting so upset that people are laughing at your idea that you start attacking our own players.

20 Jul 2020 17:17:21
I'm serious guys!

World class players with immaculate ball control, technique etc are over rated! We MUST freshen up the squad, we MUST evolve!

The fact we've only won 30 of our 36 games shows a major deficiency in being able to break down these 442 low block teams.

Can you imagine the look on the oppositions faces when we unleash our battering rams up front? The style we've used the previous 5 years has been found out guys, it's clear as day!

TheUnbearableReds, you're killing me, man.

20 Jul 2020 18:12:04

20 Jul 2020 18:28:38

20 Jul 2020 19:04:15

So in the games we failed to win vs United Everton Burnley and arsenal where we couldn't break them down and were forced to keep trying cross after cross which was easily defended when the opposition sit deep and nullify salah and manes darting runs into space. Origi and firmino offer no threat in this approach so how would an Ariel danger who attacks the ball with aggression not be more useful? Giroud has shown for Chelsea arsenal and France to be an impact in this way. Don't make it out like we're so daft to claim mitrovic and sorloth will be leading our line as if they are being talked about as key first team players. If you say Origi and Brewster in that tone it doesn't sound any more convincing. Look at Abraham, mount, maddison, Brooks, Wilson, pukki, ings, Calvert Lewin, Chris wood as players who have eased into PL football. Mitrovic has even already enjoyed goalscoring joy in the prem and continued to score freely since so why can't he be a bargain upgrade on Origi who is yet to prove he can score as regularly while also not offering that plan B threat when we need to have a target to pick out from crosses. Many successful sides who played with the ball on the ground have had this kind of striker to call upon. Obviously we wouldn't spend big on that type of tweak so mitrovic wouldn't be any weaker than what origi offers us in the box when we are needing to force it. Don't just use the argument of his big moments last season as his only judgement because 3 of those were open goal sitters, another took a huge deflection and other than the CL final none of those goals were a product of him forcing the situation. Sinama pongolle, Neil Mellor, Ryan Babel and Andy Carroll have also netted similarly in the past yet that never means they will give that in the future.

{Ed001's Note - you mean the game against Burnley where we created the most opportunities all season? You call that not breaking them down? Or Arsenal, where we again created plentiful chances. You are confusing crap finishing due to already having the title won with not being able to create chances to finish in the first place in this ridiculous panic created by having the season wrapped up so early that the players have mentally lost focus.

This is just pure ignorance. Most of those players you list just had purple patches and then have struggled. You include Ings like he hasn't been in the Prem for many years, like he is new to it. This is just utter nonsense. You want to buy crap because you think Origi is crap, what kind of lunacy is this? This is why I get fed up on this site, it goes moronic every summer with the lusting after new big name signings. The lack of appreciation for a squad that strolled to the league title with the earliest title win ever is astounding. You have clearly missed the fact that Origi performs when it matters while none of those players you named have managed to do so. Quite the opposite in the case of Pukki, Abraham and Wilson, who all have faded when the going got tough.

Mitrovic? You really aree making yourself seem like a joke with a clear lack of understanding of why Liverpool are quite so good right now, it is because they don't have knobheads like Mitrovic in the squad, who are not just nowhere near as good as what is there, but are also the wrong kind of person. I really hope you are on the wind up as this is the kind of post that I would expect from Harry.}
