Brewster to be impact sub or full season away on loan?

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jul 2020 22:17:32
Full season away.

23 Jul 2020 22:33:07
I'm tending more towards impact sub rather than loan player, especially if we don't buy anyone to backup the front 3. Let's create a higher level of pressure for those front positions for Mane, Firmino, Salah, Origi, Minamino and Brewster. Sure, there's a clear difference in quality, but let's have the starters look behind and worry about being caught up.

23 Jul 2020 22:54:03
Loan at Swansea esp. if they get promoted OR at a PL club if possible.

23 Jul 2020 22:59:28
The lad needs to be playing to develop, not watch our front three and that's it.

23 Jul 2020 23:19:08
loan. for his development and our benefit in the longer term.

23 Jul 2020 23:39:01
Ideal scenario, Swansea get promoted and Brewster stays there for another year.

23 Jul 2020 23:18:54
I say bring him back, if these lads don’t get a chance we have no idea if there good enough.
He is more likely to get chances especially if there is 5 subs again (I hope there won’t be but seems likely) . Then if he doesn’t meet the grade we can then decide if he needs a loan or sold.
The way origi was acting yesterday it seems he could be leaving so bring back Brewster with a replacement for shaq, someone like Brandt would be my choice. Then let jones take Lallanas Place, and get cover for the left side. we haven’t got loads of money floating around so we need to trust these youngsters where possible.

23 Jul 2020 23:35:30
Season long loan to Leeds or Brighton.

23 Jul 2020 23:39:26
They won't be caught up by a young lad sitting on the bench every week. He needs a good year on loan.

24 Jul 2020 03:13:11
Remember, he's scoring for the swans, not cl level. He is obviously massively talented and for that reason the selfish part of me say, but what's the point if he's not going to play. Klopp clearly likes Firmino, origi finds it hard, mino finds it hard, both origi and the ox can play the wide forward positions. Both big players, probably ahead of brewster. I'd love to see him get a chance and grab it by the scruff of the neck. Didn't he score nearly every game in pre season. But a loan move would be best for him and for us on the long run.

Sell salah get the money,
Balance books, Buy in a good backup LB and a starter defender

Frankly brewster won't get his fair chance with us as long as one of salah mane of firmino aren't moved.

24 Jul 2020 07:53:02
Sell Salah You mean our top goalscorer for the past 3 seasons?

Oh man, I have lost the will to live after reading that!

How about we sell Origi to free up space for Brewster? That's a much better option which will actually not ruin the squas strength.

24 Jul 2020 04:47:55
If Origi was to leave (no idea if that's a thing), who comes on to score or start when someone is injured if not Brewster? Often if a player does well on loan then offers come in for us to sell and as he hasn't proven himself in our team the offer is usually taken. We won't know if he is good enough until he's in the squad. Do we sign a "lesser" striker to play backup or do we keep him in the squad? What are your thoughts Ed001? I'm not a huge fan of the loan system but I'm a bit old.

{Ed001's Note - I hate the loan system, it falsely alters the league system and gives some teams an advantage over others. It is a form of cheating. It should be scrapped so we stop seeing managers such as Lampard at Derby taking loan players from Chelsea they would otherwise never get. It gave them an unfair advantage last season. And who can forget how Fergie recalled loanees from Preston after they sacked his son? It is wrong. If you can't find a way to develop or use them within the squad, then they shouldn't be at a club.

Brewster looks like he needs to be playing to be honest, I am not sure him as a back up would be the right move.}

24 Jul 2020 08:11:16
Keep him, there's a lot of fixtures in a season and a hell of a lot of rotating, he will get his chances, let him have that chance at the very top, I think he'll thrive. It's his time to shine now.

Aksh*t, how about we sell Trent and VVD whilst we're at it? my word! some comments on here are mind boggling at times.

24 Jul 2020 08:18:03
IB, I thought Akrubbish was joking with the first paragraph at first but it seems like he really meant it.

24 Jul 2020 11:10:55
Yep i was pretty serious there.
It makes all sense to sell salah.

{Ed025's Note - no to me mate..

24 Jul 2020 11:38:37
We will sell him at some point mate. We could do with money in this point of time if it were to be reinvested in the squad/ stadium/ debts
Yea he scores a ton but am not sure he is entirely irreplaceable or are his goals.
Just my thoughts of course.
Clubs without moneybags need to act very smart next few years and some players are assets. We are lucky to have so many good players all around that we can sell one if need be to balance it all out.
Of course all this is just hypothetical and my thoughts. But a 150 million something could do the club a world of good.

24 Jul 2020 12:41:55
Here’s hoping swansea get promoted and Brewster gets his prem loan!

24 Jul 2020 17:57:16
I think a loan will help him a world of good. After the injuries, i didn't think he would come back on the same but his obviously find some form.
I see Defoe is injured so maybe a loan to Rangers can help.

24 Jul 2020 22:21:02
I understand akrubbishs point v I've often said Salah is the most replaceable out of the front 3.
