Theres an article on the lfc website from an interview with Hoever and in that he says he's a right back. I see trouble ahead.

Maybe now is the time to move Trent up the pitch? If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I believe that, and Trent is one of the finest rbs in Europe. But it would solve the issue and make our move for thiago less necessary. Williams is good enough to start and hoever is an uber confident player by all accounts.

Things can change in the future. Maybe the manager who replaces Klopp in 2024 will prefer a 3-4-3? Hoever would be perfect on the right side of a back 3. You can't predict the future but on the face of it, it seems unlikely he'll ever usurp Trent.

Hoever will have to bide his time. His versatility will help him get games. He's only 18 and for now he belongs in the u21's learning from the development coaches, and training with the first team to imprint their mentality and philosophy on him.

We've had this conversation recently. I completely agree with Hoever on this one. I definitely see his future as a right back and a top one at that. I really hope he gets opportunities there.

I personally would not move Trent from RB.
He is an unreal weapon from there and not sure he makes our midfield just yet.

I see lots of people on here mention Trent moving into midfield but as of yet Klopp hasn’t got the memo as he’s avoided even trialing it in matches (except for a cup game once last season, I might be wrong though) . I actually thought if it was going to happen we might see it after the title was won and Williams was at RB for a couple of games. But yet Klopp didn’t experiment with it. Whether he does going forward only time will tell.

Hoever is still young, plenty of time for the lad.

Just read a headline (haven't read the article yet) saying hoever doesn't want to join Real Madrid. Now, I don't know if it was a hypothetical question or whether real are interested. But either way it shows his confidence in his ability to eventually win a place in this team.
