Hey Ed's,

Have Liverpool looked at the possibility of signing a HG goalkeeper to help with the quota? I understand we have Adrian for another year but a HG back up GK is a good way to help with the quota I would have thought.

Ben Foster, Jack Butland and Joe Hart are options off the top of my head (I believe they are homegrown? )

I am sure there would be some other (probably better) options out there. Just an idea.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool are overrun with GKS.}

By October 2020, Kelleher will be homegrown. And ready to be sliced, diced and sauteed.

Really doubt Kelleher will make it with us, he might be a very good footballer, but he is a very bad GK in my opinion. Grabara is homegrown and 3 times the GK Kelleher is. If it was up to me, i'd sell Adrian and keep Grabara.

A couple of years ago Grabara was the higher rated GK, if I recall correctly. And then he went out on loan and out of sight.

Scarcity are you sure you are watching the same player. Keheller is a great prospect, you can’t judge him because he let in 5 vs arsenal.

Andy Lonergan said he's the future. I think he meant his style not necessarily the future of Liverpool. Great with his feet but he could do with a season or two in league football to settle the nerves.

Keepers are only as good as what is in front of them. I've had the pleasure of watching Kelleher for the Ireland u21 teams a few times. He's a good keeper, what you notice when you watch him live is how he never stops talking to his defenders and midfielders. He stays big, rushes his opponents, comes for crosses, has freakish reflexes and can pick a pass. He needs a loan to learn more and to handle the increased physicality of the top level games. He'll do well in my opinion. Solid backup keeper for LFC when Adrian leaves.

he also let in 5 vs villa, of those 10 goals in 2 games, i would say at least 5 was easily savable! I have watched him in 7-8 u23 games and never been impressed. just a completely honest unbiased opinion.

Id tend to agree with Kieran. Personally I think Grabara is a much better shotstopper but he seems way too quiet for my liking. Kelleher is more vocal and seems more confident eg on crosses.
