afternoon Eds

As we have been 'linked' to both Sarr and troare who do you feel is the best fit and or value for money?
Thanks.

{Ed0666's Note - Wwonker please ask you’re self the same question and deconstruct it in you’re head. Even if we had interest in Traore and we had the silly money wolves would want, which we don’t, would you want him to displace Salah who has scored 94 goals for Liverpool compared with the 5 Traore has scored for Wolves? Would you want a 70 million plus substitute? As for Sarr the jury is out. Pace but little goal threat and raw I’m not sure about him but I wouldn’t annoy me if he was in our squad next season as I think Klopp could mold him into a player, heck Klopp could mold anyone into a player.

Agree0 Disagree0

Traore does one good thing per game which catches people’s eye and then does nothing for the rest of the game. Yesterday’s game was another example of that. He still looks raw but he’s not a young kid anymore he’s 24, he should be getting close to his peak but he’s still very inconsistent. He’s not close to what Salah and Mane were at the same age.

Seeing a few links to young Talles Magno for £18 million, seems like he would be better value and have a higher ceiling than Sarr and seems to be very highly thought of for his age. Not sure how much truth is in the rumours though, seems to be based purely on a few reports coming out of brazil.

I do t see the hype around Adama Traore to be honest. He has pace and strength but never imposes himself in any game. If he starts a game he fades and is then substituted after 60-70 minutes of not much. He is best as an impact sub for 20 minutes and no more.

A huge waste of money in my opinion for what they would be asking.

I seen nottin in Traore a bit of linford Christie that’s about it not a hope would I pay over 20m for him he’s grand at wolves leave him there.

Mango is just a kid and wouldn't be for the first team mate, so different prospects entirely.

I had no idea Sarr had scored so few. Why on earth would we get rid of origi to bring in an inferior player. I prefer origi but thought perhaps Sarr had had a good season and scored 10+ goals. He hasn't. Origi is twice the player. Absolutely crazy. It's transfer season sillies. Wanting a player just for the sake of it, just a new shiny toy. Sarr for origi is madness.

If you put benteke and traore on the same team you would probably get quite a bit of joy. But as we don't play that way traore is pointless for us. His crossing and passing is too wayward for him to put the ball on mane and Bobby's feet. Wolves will have pulled an absolute masterclass if they get over 50mil for him. They may quote 170mil, but rarely even start him (something smells fishy) if we offered 50mil today, he'd be doing the melwood lean by 9am tomorrow morning, and wolves would be laughing.

The people on here know their football, then why get excited by this bruiser with no end product. He would be quite effective if he had a brain but I don't think he has. And you can't coach someone's brain to be bigger. His decision making is shocking. I've seen him chip one to jiminez's head when he is only two feet outside the goal post and with no defenders between traore and jimi. Wtf! That's crazy. I think he'll probably have a couple of decent seasons here and then fade away with some Italian team. Bound to get a bad injury with his size and speed and once that starts it'll go on til the end. Probably.

Adama is great to watch, I'm glad he is in the Premier League, although if he played for us he'd frustrate the life out of me an probably most people in the ground!

I'm not convinced by Sarr but I think Klopp an the team could definitely mould him into a good player. But it would be a slight gamble.

OP, Adama Traore is STILL as advertised as in, tonnes of pace with very little to NO end product and a human MOTD highlight reel with no consistency to is game and stupidly overpriced. Yeah, that's the guy we want to help us retain the PL next season. Pls, miss me with all that, bro.

As for Sarr, love the kid tho still raw, he can definitely do a job and be the player many think he can be with the right environment, players and coaching.

So why can't traore do that red meister? Forget price. Just being devils advocate.

Traore is one of the most overrated players in the league because he’s fast and muscly. Not saying he’s bad but people in general think he’s some sort of new messiah by the way they talk about him, he’ll be another Zaha, good player in the right team but not much more.

I think ye are being incredibly harsh on Traore. He has come on leaps and bounds in his final ball and terrorises teams. He would be a superb option from the bench.

In terms of value for money though ya I think I read £70M or something Wolves would want for him. I'd be happy to sign him for £35M but no more than that. Wolves would laugh at that and we aren't interested anyway so that's that but I do think he's not as bad as ye are saying.
