About getting Thiago everything about the possibility says no like his age, wages, injury record etc but as Ed002 said the club may let JK get him who knows lad's. It would be very awkward if Gini didn't want to stay for whatever reason and we didn't get Thiago.

{Ed0666's Note - I’m sure if Gini went and we didn’t get Thiago we’d pull a rabbit out of the hat. This is Micheal Edwards we’re talking about mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldn't put it past Edwards and indeed Klopp, Ed06666. These guys are literally mad geniuses, IMO.

It's the wages that Thiago would command that concern me. I wouldn't want to disrupt the harmony in the dressing room by even the slightest bit. A lot of these players are just overgrown kids; remember that game where the boys lined up and tried to see who could pee the furthest? I'm sure wages being earned are the same thing. I like Thiago very much and would love him to join the team (but not at Wijnaldum's expense) . And does he deserve the highest wages on this LFC team? No, my opinion.

{Ed002's Note - Bayern Munich do not want to pay him more than the €12M a year and I doubt that the interested sides that they are talking to would want to go any higher either.}

Poor Thiago, hows he supposed to get by on 12m a year?

Ed002, just out of curiosity, are there many 29-30 year olds earning the 12 Million or more, per year? Alexis Sanchez is the only one that comes to my mind.

{Ed002's Note - Quite a few - Oezil, Messi, Iniesta, Ronaldo ....}

@ArAr couldn't agree more. I wouldn't want him coming in to take Fabinho's spot or to be an option who is the highest earner in the club.

That is very true Ed0666.

What’s your thoughts on Thiago Ed0666. Do you think he would be a good addition if he arrived or a expensive mistake? Also do you think he will arrive mate?

{Ed0666's Note - Honestly mate I thought it was pie in the sky clickbait until the last couple of days. I’ve spoken to a couple of journalist friends of mine overseas and they are convinced it’s happening. I’m still 50/50 towards the situation not because I doubt thiagos ability but because I want Gini to stay as hes such a terrific footballer. When people say Gini is unsung and unheralded I buy into that because some of the performances he’s given have been truly astonishing. He doesn’t get enough plaudits in my opinion. But I’m also not interested in offering a 30 year old player a contract that doesn’t make financial sense for us so we end up in a position like Arsenal. If he doesn’t sign then sell him thank him for his service and we move on. Thiago would be an ideal replacement but he’s 30 and will Cost a tone of money and probably want more wages than Gini. It’s a really sensitive situation. Or we could just buy someone younger who would cost less and be on less salary. I’m so glad I’m not the one having to make these decisions mate.
