Morning. i've just read that Referee's are going to be getting bonuses. I didn't know this was a thing in the first place.
May I ask what they would receive these for?

{Ed002's Note - They already, or at least some, get bonuses. There is proposal to extend that based on "performance" but tehy are fearful of a "league table" being published. It will be decided next month.}

They get a bonus every time they award United a penalty.

That is a weird one! How can they get a bonus?! I'd like to see the parameters for their bonus! Most of them are utterly useless. Bonus for not getting something thrown at them lol.

Rigsby - I think they had 21 penalties this season, but apparently they get no luck at all! They even got one at villa when it was clearly a foul for villa by the Zidane turn of bruno on the ankle of the villa player!

Why not? If it makes them strive for perfection. It's what us fans want.

Ill surprise you all, I have a massive respect for top refs. It is amazing how often they make the right call. I'd get it so wrong I'd start awarding free kicks just because I gave the other team an undeserved free kick. I would completely collapse under the pressure. They get something wrong and everyone gives them hell, but it's hard to see EVERYTHING! I find it amazing.
