Ed002.you refer to Liverpool heading the warning regarding Thiago. Seems to me LFC management can't get anything right. Finances are seemingly in a disastrous situation and not only can't they afford buying anyone player of note, they're seeing rivals steaming ahead with buying top players left, right and centre. Do you see a conclusion of this Thiago story or do you think Bayern will ultimately tell LFC to look somewhere else?

{Ed002's Note - The player has had his head turned by Liverpool and now the club don’t want to follow through. It is a bit of a mess.}

F$G and Klopp out, eh vonbp?

Do you actually support Liverpool? Cos I didn't see you at all when we were winning things, but now you're here moaning on a daily basis about how we're going to finish 5th because we haven't signed 218 players in the transfer window.

Hi ed002, so Liverpool have pulled out all together? If so are they still willing to sell wijnaldum?

{Ed002's Note - That is not what I said.}

I was in Rome when we won the first European Cup and was in Madrid for the sixth. I have been to Liverpool countless of times starting in the late 70s travelling hundreds of miles. I have been a lifetime supporter. When I'm critical of LFC and I have every right it's because I only want to see LFC returning to the days when Liverpool won titles under Bob Paisley.

{Ed047's Note - It must have been a dream then because I was certain you’d just won the Champions League and Premier League in consecutive seasons.

I’m going to have to stop eating blue smarties! 🤦‍♂️

I seem to recall there is a lot of capital tied up in the main stand and new training ground. And that this is building to the future, so can we please stop crying that FSG isn't spending any cash. Also remember we are in the middle of a C.V. that has ruined economic activity.

Interesting Ed that you said the club don’t seem to want to follow through. Shame because I think Thiago is a great players.

Could that mean at the moment it could mean Gini leaves and the club try for a work permit for grujic?

{Ed002's Note - It means nothing has changed - the assumption remains that there is not the money to pay for Thiago at this time.]

Not sure what flying around the world has to do with anything von
your moaning for no reason once again
we have just dominated european football for last year and won everything in site plus the premier league
get a grip mate please.

Von, you're not displaying the maturity I would expect from a man who must be 60 at least based on what you've said.

Can't turn around and whine that people label you as a git if you act like one mate.

So basically we are struggling to sell players to put the funds together for Thiago. If we make the sales I think we get him providing someone else doesn't get him before.

Calling us a mess financially is a bit much imo, C.V. has had a major impact and the fact we aren't spending outside our means is a good thing imo. Long term future is far more important then a signing to appease fans.

Also, OP I'm sorry you slept through last season as we won the league and it was fantastic. Or do you want to return to 2010 with Roy Hodgson and David Ngog?

{Ed002's Note - It was always clear it would be a struggle for many clubs this summer.}

FSG are business people and have invested into our club. This includes players, staff, facilities and of course Anfield.

We have to stick within our finances and are not cash rich like our counterparts in Manchester and Chelsea.

We have a great manager, a now good transfer team as well as a squad who in the last few years have played outstanding, exciting football and won an array of trophies along the way.

ed002 with the money issues going around and the window closing after the season has started I think there will be a lot of sales done near the end of the window when teams will hope there is a bargain to be had and teams want players out of there club am sure spurs will try to do business near the end Daniel Levy loves transfer deadline day.

I think it's a time machine you need Von.

06 Sep 2020 23:14:36
What's wrong with being a supporter who still believes Kenny Dalglish was LFC best ever player? Do you have the privilege of watching him play at Anfield? Yes I wouldn't mind going back in time to watch Dalglish, Souness, Hughes, et al. Cheers mate.

06 Sep 2020 23:39:46
I swear some fans would be happier if we'd paid 45mil for Tsimi and 60mil for taki.

07 Sep 2020 00:04:07
Due to our financial model being impacted by C.V., are people leaping to an assumption that LFC management are getting it wrong?

to me it seems like all clubs are being impacted by C.V.. Liverpool. prior to C.V., were on a good path isn't that rght ed02? except for the mega cash rich clubs like City, Chelsea etc I can't really see what else Liverpool could have done other than be more like City.

{Ed002's Note - It was OK but on the edge as I have explained - it took account of money that was due to arrive, and in this case didn't.}
