Good Morning all!

So I'm sure a lot of you on here have read/ heard about swiss ramble. If not he has a really great indepth knowledge of football financials, which I think Ed 002 has eluded to in the past.

Well this morning he has posted a thread on twitter explaining liverpools financial situation, and why they are not spending the mega money like Chelsea.

Its a really good read, and hopefully will save the eds many a headache if you guys read it, instead of asking why we aren't spending.

Anyway, here's the link.

{Ed001's Note - it is usually me that recommends him, he is very good at what he does.}

I read it this morning, really interesting and in depth. It’s says exactly what Ed002 has been saying for ages. Highly recommended reading.

Just read it thanks. Very good read and the eds should put a link at the top of the page for anyone that asks why we haven’t got money 10 times a day!

I think most fans will only really understand when this years figures are released and they can compare to last years and see where money has been lost (Champions League for example) .

{Ed002's Note - I have explained where the money has gone.}

Wow the wages paid are eye watering amounts. When a player gets a new deal it's like a new signing with the increase it brings. Really interesting that thanks for sharing.

I appreciate that you have Ed002. I'm suggesting that written down on paper comparing to the previous set of accounts might help. No promises tho 😉.

{Ed002's Note - I would doubt most would understand it.}

Can anyone post link to his twitter account pls?

{Ed001's Note - there is one in the thread.}

Good read that. And yet very worrying where we’d be without Klopp.

Fantastic read. I still can't work out how Spurs have made the amount of money they have considering almost zero trophies over the last 40 years, and compared to clubs like Us and United, a relatively low fan base.

I actually feel better about our financial situation after reading that. It just verified everything Ed002 has been saying for months.

Fascinating read however the only thing I learned is that you can enjoy reading something without having the faintest clue what is being read!

Ed02, they won't understand it cos they don't want to understand it.

Thanks for sharing this thread. From a business point of view we seem to be doing great. The future of the club, financially, is secure. Unfortunately fans have grown used to envying sugar daddy owners around Europe who plunge money into the club at the detriment of long term financial stability. But I'm happy that our club is in good hands and in a healthy position to obtain large investments or loans in the future years should they be required in order to remain competitive.

The great thing is that the FSG model relies on success so we can rest assured the owners will keep doing whatever is necessary to maintain this level of success. And if they do decide to sell, we would be the prime candidates to attract the best interested parties.

I think we are primed to be experiencing a long period of success in the coming decade.
