Was watching a film on amazon about Steven Gerrard.
He was so important to our club. There were times we could have slipped to Newcastle, spurs (00s) or even Leeds level. Always a big club we just didn't have the players.

But in stevie we always had elite World class in the middle of the park, and it kept us in striking distance. If we'd sold him he would have brought in a lot but it would've been wasted on six average players.

Robbie, is that the one doc. about SG called "Steven Gerrard: Make Us Dream"? . If it is, I saw that one as well and OMG, it was brilliant. The doc. chronicled SG from his days as a kid playing in the streets all the way to his final game at Los Angeles. It was amazing and I hope everyone gets to watch.

Yeah, that's it RM. He was my idol growing up, similar age and I couldn't believe how he handled the pressure. Unbelievable player.

And I know he won't read this. But lad, you have NOTHING to regret, you have nothing to feel ashamed of. You were one of the greatest players in the world and you used that talent for us. I f###ing love you man!

West ham, olympiakos, ac Milan Omg. Roy of the rovers. The term "legend" is often debated. Not in Steven Gerrard's case. One of our greatest players.

{Ed0666's Note - how are you so sure Gerrard doesn’t post on the site. You know Harry is Stevie G right?

I'd love to be able to convey how much I appreciated him. How great he was. Its so sad that he dwells on that season with suarez and the brodge. Whenever he feels that, gerry and the pacemakers needs to play.

{Ed0666's Note - It’s a shame he dwells on that slip because he lifted Old Big Ears as Liverpool captain and how many scousers get to do that?

Why can't i think of any scouser that have done that? What am I missing? Did Phil Thompson? Emlyn Hughes was Welsh right?

No not many ed666.

{Ed0666's Note - I think when he looks back on his playing career he’s achieved more than most will. Lifting the European cup as captain is a marvelous and rare feat for any player not just a scouser.
