I love this site due to all the differing opinions. However the owners and manager who have brought us incredible success since they have combined I will never question. Whoever they decide to buy, not buy or sell is perfect by me as they clearly know what they are doing.

Bring on Chelsea and let's see where the journey takes us.

Agree9 Disagree0

Yeah, not bad are they. Broke the curse of the bambino (red sox hadn't won the world series for like 80 years. )
And done it for the 96, 30 years with no title.

Spot on, OP. FSG are a very successful set of owners whether in the States with the Red Sox or with LFC here in England and Europe. Just facts, bro.

Whatever decisions they made or did not make and whatever mistakes they made or did not make, are what has led them to being successful in both continents.

I don't want FSG to do what I want nor do I care if they do what I want or don't want. In the end, I want them to do what is best for the health and safety of my club and if they are doing that and keep making us competitive if not successful, I have nothing to complain about.

I wouldn't question Klopp but you should always question the owners. Their motivation is profit, pure and simple. We are fortunate as fans that success on the field translates as a few more quid for FSG but don't make the mistake of thinking their decisions have the supporters best interests at heart. They have made a few financial decisions over the years that have upset fans and have rapidly back-tracked before the protests got too ferocious. To be fair, they have had a big part of Liverpools success by employing the right people in the right places but, when profit is their primary focus, their motives and ethics should ALWAYS be questioned.

{Ed002's Note - They are decent owners but they are investors - the exit strategy will be based on flattening growth potential. They certainly don’t deserve the hassle many fans give them.}

There is an Everest difference between an owner and an investor. An owner is what you see in Roman Ibrahimovic. FGS are investors like any other guy out there. Their interest starts and ends in protecting their investment.

They seem to be pretty good investors at that. And have done a pretty damn good job at Liverpool considering what they bought the club for and what it's worth today.

There is no diff. between FSG being owners or investors, IMO and using Abramovitch as a comparison, is a misnomer. Abramovitch owns Chelsea and treats it or has history of treating it like one of his yachts. He changes things in there when required he touches it up a bit with new carpetting and so on and that is it.

FSG own LFC BUT treat it as an investment and as investors, if you want your investment to continue to yield dividends in this context, you have to continue to well, invest which they have done. Investing in stadium redevelopment, the new training facility, investing in nutrition, medical, scouting and sport science and so on, are all investments with a goal to a) make their asset (LFC) more competitive and possibly successful and b) They make a profit if we are successful and get a good return on their investment. Win, Win.
