I am afraid barry but i was thinking that if we win 38 games while conceding 100 goals we will still be champions.
But i guess there is some fa law that states otherwise and only folks on here have been made aware of it.

The first round of matches hasn't been completed yet but some 'fans' are already writing Liverpool off. The next match is against a team with a worse defence than Liverpool and then comes arse nal whose last WIN against Liverpool was actually a (undeserved) draw and the previous one was mainly thanks to Alisson and van Dijk. Let us all just listen to the pathetic bleatings of chelsea and citeh players while the team get on with the job. Let's face it they didn't do too bad last season*.

Really looking forward to the Chelsea game and to be honest i think it could be just what we need. What happened after lockdown and our form is in the past and the Leeds game would have definitely opened the lads eyes. Taking on Chelsea and Arsenal next and so early could actually give us a rocket up the ar#e and send us on a run that we started last season. No title is won in the first few months but you can definitely lose one. Its always nice to be ahead of the pack rather than chasing.

I actually think Chelsea will beat us. I hope I'm wrong, but I just don't see us getting a result against them this time around and to be fair if that happens it's fine, we have a long season ahead and a quality team, I still think we'll win the league again. I just think this season will be a scrappy one for every team including us. Fingers crossed I'm completely wrong (always am with predictions) and we smash them.
{Ed025's Note - i think its a great time to play chelsea salah, they are bedding in players and will not be at their best for quite a few weeks, i predict a comfortable win for the reds mate..

Pulisic is out injured for the game I believe and I fancy a Mo masterclass once more. Should be another exciting game.
I hope if we win 1-0 we see the opposite of the reaction we got against Leeds and fans declare our defence the best in the world once more. Such was the over-reaction of the defensive performance last Saturday.

Salah, I am disappointed. You are one of the most positive guys on here, to the point of arrogance. Seriously tho, I do not think Chelsea will have it easy against us esp. if we are improved defensively. I did not see anything in Chelsea's perf. vs BHA that got me scared; Their back line is still the same crap show it has been, BHA were they a better team, could have punished them even more, their midfield with Jorginho is a no hoper.
If we fix up defensively and our midfield is back in rhythm and with Mo Salah in Balon D'Or form already? We are definitely in with a chance of winning the game even tho, I see a draw.

I can see the Chelski game having goals aplenty, particularly if we play a dangerously high line defensively - it will suit Werner making runs behind Virgil and Gomez. Hoping Mo carries on his form, we score more than them and put a frown on Frankie Lampard, but I would not be surprised to see Chelski win.

Longthing I agree of course it's all about winning mate but teams do lose from time to time, even the best. It's just one of them games I don't see us winning and if that's the case I really aren't fussed because we'll make up for it the rest of the season I have no doubts about it. If it's anything to go on though, every time I predict a game im wrong so let's hope for that 3 points.

I agree with Ed025; I think it is a good time to play Chelsea.
With injuries and new players settling in for them and I'm hoping our defence won't be as complacent.
