I’ve seen it said and I actually agree wit it is that Thiago is the first world class player we have bought in quite a long time. Every other world class player we have had became world class with us. Thiago arrives already world class.

Harry, Pogba is 26, I think. Also more seriously, Pogba has been a complete, utter FLOP at Utd, IMO. 70M? What has he shown in the 4 yrs he has been there, exactly?

For all the hype and the amount they paid for him (89m rising to 100m reportedly), he has flopped so I will be shocked if any team pays 70m for him. Obviously, some club will do that BUT I wouldn't see why as he has not kicked on at Utd.

Surely must mean its the end of the road for Grujic, but what a signing. I was convinced this was another Simao situation but they found something down the back of the sofa it seems.

Not going to make any predictions on the title, but this signing certainly boosts our already good chance to retain it. Exciting times ahead folks!

Pogba is 27. Why does everyone think he is older than he actually is. Even on the Utd page people constantly get his age wrong. Pogba is 23 months younger than Thiago.

I agree Pogba hasn't shown anywhere near the quakity expected from him but I think he would fetch more money than 25m Thiago cost you because of his marketability and not the on field performances; whether we think it is right or not.

Ed0666, Damien Comolli is one of the poster children of the phrase "Being promoted to the level of one's incompetence". The guy has been failing everywhere he had been YET kept getting jobs. At some point, someone found out how incompetent he has always been and they stopped calling.
