Think we'd need a proper back up striker to push Firmino, Jovic at Real or Daka from Red bull just a young striker that has an eye for goal since Brewster won't be getting a look in.

So that they cannot get a look in and are hauled out after 2 years? We do not have a backup to Firmino because there is barely anyone who does what he does.

{Ed001's Note - that's why Minamino was bought.}

We do need proper back up for Firmino, he clearly doesn't score enough, the fact he drops deep so Salah and Mane can run in isn't something revolutionary, strikers drop deep all the time, its about his timing, his skill, with Thiago in i'd expect the central striker would need to be on the end of things a lot more, Thiago will find the runs like Coutinho used to, so we will be more dangerous from the middle, so i hope Bobby gets his confidence back in front of goal as he gets a lot of clear chances created and doesn't finish them well at the minute, he looked uncomfortable against Leeds when presented with chances, hopefully that comes Sunday when we do Chelsea 3-1.

Really looking forward to seeing Minamino this season. Bobby plays with his heart on his sleeve but he can’t be expected to press and run around for 90 mins for 50 odd games a season like he has in the past. Personally I think his form has been very up and down because he his body must be exhausted (similar to Wiji) . Minamino might allow Bobby more rest so we see more quality rather than quantity.

The only way to push Firmino is to change the system and put him on the bench which is not practical.

Yes, Ed. Hope he becomes as good as Firmino though.

Err, Minamino anyone or are we just going to act like he is not here?

It's strange that, despite it being obvious that our wide forwards are our most advanced players, everyone expects Bobby to outscore them because he's a number 9. Perhaps if we made a graphic of a 4-3-1-2 formation with Bobby in the hole and mane and salah up front, people would get off his case. He played pretty much every game last season, if he wasn't doing his job in the team well, he'd be dropped, so if the front 3 manage 50-60 league goals between them, I don't think it matters who gets more goals.
