What a weekend this has been shaping up to be! I was quietly confident that we would be front runners for the league even w/ o the recent new signings, but with these additions, I'm very confident! Just as Ed025 said, we are quite some distance ahead of the rest of the pack, even City, and definitely Chelsea though they bought well, but there is no reason why we are not favorites.

With the in-comings, I believe we have strengthened in the areas we needed to and the quality of players brought in are definitely superior to what we already have.

Here are some quick thoughts of my mine with regards to the latest / soon to be signings:

Thiago - the player whose quality is closest to Xabi we've had since. Very good on the ball, wonderful passing range, excellent game intelligence, thereby making him a master in transitional plays. Teams will now have to find new ways to shut us out as he will provide some much ammunition to our front 3 and full backs.

Jota - hardworking, powerful dribbler, with goals in his locker. It has been noted that he is inconsistent, and its true, quite a number of games he was ineffective. But I've also noted that he works hard and doesn't let the team down in this aspect.

Ozan Kabak - aggressive, front footed defender, fast enough to hold a high line. Needs to improve on his passing, overall defending. I'm not sure he's better than Gomez, but he's definitely better than Lovern. Just wondering if anyone has more news if he's indeed joining?

With these incomings, I also wondering if there are news on these potential outgings:

- Larouci
- Nat Phillips
- Grujic
- Keita
- Gini
- Shaqiri
- Woodburn
- Wilson
- Origi
- Awoniyi
(assusming Brewster is off to Sheffield utd and Hoever to Wolves)

With Grujic going, Lallana gone and Milner nearing the end, I see no reason why we would let Wiji go unless he actually wants to go.
