Sentiments aside, if you were to compare the impact (goals and fear factor) of bringing in Origi as an impact sub vs say Adama, you will understand why he needed to be replaced inspite of Everton and Barca.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Origi is a fine squad player for us, how many world class strikers are going to want to play backup?

He's not incredible but Barca, Everton in league and cup, arsenal in the cup recently, champions League final, he's not a bad player at all and I have no problem with h him being part of the team!

IMO, Origi. Been there. Done that at the highest levels of the CL and the WC. Traore is a MOTD highlight reel and is unproven at every level Origi has done it at.

Well we aren't going to buy a player for circa £70 million and put him on the bench, he also is far from world class but he does have his moments.
That aside, it isn't about buying a world class player anyway, maybe a player young enough and good enough to maybe play more regularly in future seasons and push our front 3? With respect to Origi but he is never going to do that.

I like Origi he’s been fantastic for us in his role. Not many players would have done the role he did and still be able to step up when he did. I’m not saying Traore is a better player but football clubs are being linked to him for 50 mill plus and it looks like we are struggling to get takers for Origi at 15 mill.

JK, you are only worth what someone is willing to pay for you hence, why people have the opinion that a club sometimes, may have overpaid for a player like say, Traore. Same goes for Origi. IMO, if any team pays 50m to 70m for Traore, that would be stupid money for a player who is nowhere near that level.

Rm you’re correct there mate. I think 50-70 mill for Traore would be crazy money. I’m actually really shocked no club had taken a punt on Origi with a bid. Goals win games and Origi surely would be a good signing for a lot of premier league clubs especially when I’ve seen quotes of 15 mil. West Ham and Newcastle paid 40 mill for their strikers last year and both have been disasters.

{Ed025's Note - there is a damn good readon why nobody has made a bid for divock JK...hes bloody hopeless mate..
