Confidence is so key. Thiago comes in and zips the ball all over the place like he's played with us for years. Bobby seems to be taking that extra touch and split second. When he's confident it's like he's a split second ahead of everyone else.

I hope he gets his confidence back soon because he is brilliant at his best.

I think now is the time to make Bobby work for his place a bit and give Minamino the shot he deserves. Maybe not immediately but after Arsenal game consider rotating against a bottom half side because i am really excited to see what Minamino can do and do firmly believe it could be what Firmino needs to will himself back into form.

Bobby's primary job was to link the midfield to the attack which now has gone to Thiago. Now he needs to score which he doesn't. wouldn't mind origi at the end of a delightful through ball by Thiago.
Our system is slowly changing away from midfielders going wide to going up.

Didn’t Bobby cross for Mane to score?

Origi is the best finisher club got, no doubt. if we take a look at his goals, finishing is written all over. so yes if there is supply, he's best to meet at the end than firmino, but that's not Klopp and coaches want :)

No WarMachine. It wasn't Bobby. It was Thiago (Im not being serious here) . That is the fact, right Harry?

Football is a simple as defenders defend, midfielders pass to any of the attackers, and then the attackers score. That is his logic.

Bobby was absolutely brilliant yesterday. Origi is a great finisher. But so is jota tbf.

Hey Robbie - I guess football is about opinions but I didn't see what you saw. I saw Bobby a split second slower in his thinking, touch, chasing down and passing. When he's at full confidence (and it maybe an early fitness thing) everything is just so much quicker for him. He is clearly happier when he scores so hopefully a goal or two will get the ol' Bobby back which is what everyone wants.

Yeah fair enough 1jj, I think people expect too much from him. He can't create five chances every game. But he did set up mane in the best goal of the season so far. He passes coz that's his role. To set up mane and salah. He wasn't at his best but was still brilliant imho.

IMO, Bobby looked a bit slow in his ball control and looked out of sorts from time to time in the first half. I know he is always a slow burner at the start of the season as it takes a bit more time to get going. However when Thiago came on, he came alive and played a blinder. The movement on and inch perfect cross on the cross to Mane, was perfection. Hopefully, he can kick on from here.

As for who the best finisher is at the club, it is definitely Big Div. The guys never panics in front of goal. Has ice in his veins and when that chance comes to him, he buries it with prejudice. Everton, Spurs and Barcelona for starters, can attest to this.

{Ed025's Note - salah or mane are far better finishers imo RM, if divock was any good he would be playing more often than once every preston guild mate, so your opinion does,nt really hold much water im afraid..

Ed25, you of all people, should know how deadly Origi is BUT I guess you are still in denial. Origi does not need as many chances as Salah or Mane to score a goal and the numbers bear that out.

Now, pay attention. 2 chances, 2 goals vs Barca, 7 chances, 5 goals in 5 games vs your sorry lot and 1 chance, 1 goal coming off the bench in a CL final, an experience you will never know a darn thing about until further notice. And that is just off the top of my head. BUT you are free to have your opinion. Peace and Love.

{Ed025's Note - i will only ask you one question then RM...if hes that deadly why does he hardly get a game mate?..cheers..

Ed25, this has been addressed in the last podcast that you attended and I listened to. I propose you listen to it again and more importantly, listen to the part of the podcast where Bobbie's role was addressed and the part where both Ed's educated you on Bobbie's role. Listen to it again and then get back to me so we can discuss what you learned from the discussion.

Spoiler alert: Origi cannot perform the Bobbie role the way Klopp wants it to be performed cos he is a diff. type of CF. When he plays the CF role the way he can play it, the absolute damage he does to your lot on a regular basis, is what you get. Peace and Love.

{Ed025's Note - he is a different type your right...other forwards actually play.. :)

Div is the best finisher. RM is right. He doesn't play as much because he can't play the false 9, hence getting played as one of the goal scorers (wingers) which he isn't a natural at.

Actually i think this argument is academic. Jota is a fantastic finisher too. Maybe our best now.
