I hope the team for the EFL is a strong one. Adrian, Williams, Phillips, Kostas, Jones, Milner, Minamino, Origi, Shaqiri should all feature plus a couple of kids.

Both Gomez and Matip are out. I cannot see Klopp playing Virgil and Fabinho at the back against Lincoln so it'll likely be Nat Phillips.

I don't know if Billy K is fit again yet, but if he is, it'd be nice to see him be involved.

Pep said Gomez is back training Friday so it'll be the youngsters at CB. Good chance to get Thiago and Jota acclimatized to the team. I only picked Shaqiri ahead of Elliot because he needs minutes for fitness, Elliot to replace him from the bench. Not much point starting Origi if he's leaving soon.

It'll be interesting to see if Origi plays as I think that would cup tie him which with the rumours of Brighton being interested him could make him last attractive to them.

Agreed jordz. I'd say any senior (non-first team) player who doesn't play tomorrow night is a good indicator they're leaving.

That’s the team i want to see play and the one i think is more than capable of winning the game. I want to see all those players get game time and an opportunity to get up and running for the season, i really hope Klopp doesn’t behave like a massive child and put out a load of kids to prove a point when we have a squad more than deep enough to go far into these competitions now. Really excited to see what they can do.

We put such precision in our fitness. Long cup runs in domestic cups bring little prestige these days. So I too would expect an almost complete second team. Klopp uses it to play the youth players.

I'm really looking forward to seeing jota and Tsimi. I've never seen our left back play and am really excited to watch him play.
