Just had to fork out £115 for a full Alisson kit for my 9 year olds birthday. Unbelievable how much kits cost these days.

I feel violated.

Thank the lord my two older kids are past the stage of wanting the kit each year.

Alisson didn't cost that, did he?
And the transfer window is still open, Bobby 😀.

Bobby, that is the price of success.

That’s crazy, have the prices gone up since Nike became the kit sponsor?

23 Sep 2020 19:03:03
For that price you'd expect the lad to be a match-day mascot and get signed photos with him and the first team!

Good point Rigsby, I could have probably bought Karius for that price. Mind you I suspect he would prefer the Alisson shirt.

As long as people pay the asking price then it will always go up.

23 Sep 2020 23:52:36
That’s very expensive but apparently Liverpool are shifting record numbers of kits, so the cost is not putting people off.
I remember my beloved 1978 / 79 v neck Umbro home top from the old club shop, loved that jersey. I can’t for the life of me recall how much it was now.

I know it is frustrating to pay so much money and that price is too much. But I also say fair play to you because it's the fans forking out their hard earned money that has seen us getting record sales in recent times and that leads to us being able to attract bigger sponsorship deals etc and your money spent is of benefit to our club. We're in a memorable period and any season we enjoy big titles will make these kits forever iconic so even though it's expensive we should not boycot the buying of a kit. Because we can't spend money on a match ticket for example or the extra money saved on travel expenses to see games it be helpful to the club's marketing strength if we did all spend a bit to aid those sales numbers when this year especially our club is suffering from incoming revenue. I appreciate the ones who buy the official kit instead of many looking for cheap knock offs this season. You're playing your part for the club in a way.

Well put har red. Its hard but true. And ask any first year economics student and they'd tell you the same thing.
When your not spending thousands on tickets and travel (even hotels, flights) £119 doesn't seem so much.

It's when prices go down you need go really worry. Coz it mean the world is probably ending.

DH gate is your best friend. Might take a bit longer to come but they make excellent fakes/ might even be the same warehouse who knows.

If fans are happy for kit prices to go up then I'm sure they will be happy for match day tickets to go up once crowds return. I'm guessing we wouldn't moan either if Sky and BT started inflating their prices. Football has lost reality with their fans and we shouldn't be praising it for that. I'm fortunate to be in a job where i can afford to watch my beloved LFC but millions of others aren't.

The price of match tickets don't both me JK23. My chances of getting hold of a match ticket from the club since they introduced the local members sale are they same as getting a ticket for the Arsenal match on Monday! Hence my 9 year old having never seen the boys play at Anfield.

Some might say (but not me of course) that my chances of getting a touted ticket outside Anfield on match day increased significantly when they introduced the local members sale.
