Noticed Neco Williams has blacked out his Twitter after getting a load of abuse from some Liverpool "fans" on Twitter last night.

He didn't have the greatest of games but I'll never understand "fans" having a go at our own players to that level.

Must be hell for younger players with social media these days - hope he bounces back and shuts them up.

That’s absolutely disgusting and a clear example of why more and more people (including myself) are distancing themselves from Twitter. It is an echo chamber for idiots who know nothing about football to voice and accentuate their horrible toxic opinions. What does blacked out mean? Social media is a disgrace. If I was a pro I wouldn't have any, what's the point. It's so bad, and will have an effect on the player and his mental health. Like you say, not fans, just complete idiots. Scum.

I noticed that Neco’s winger was trying to bully him physically last night, and it was quite a tough match for him.
He stuck it out, never moaned, and got on with it, so fair play to the lad.

What people need to remember is that he is young and raw and still learning his trade. When Trent started back there he didn't exactly have faultless performances, he developed over getting game time.

Sad pathetic individuals and shows the nasty side of social media.

Previously you needed to put in effort to take out your anger on footballers by writing it down and sending it to the club, but some where along that process you'd realise you were in the wrong and stop.

Now you can type it down in seconds and click send before you realise how much of a bell you have been.

These players and the young lads in particular need our support but its the minority that get heard rather then the majority that wouldn't stoop to those levels.

Try and take a positive from it. People now expect wonders from him. He wasn't that bad. I didn't think he was awful at all.
