I've said it a couple of times, I think Rodri to replace Fernandinho long-term was a mis-step for them. He's too crab-like with his passing and doesn't protect the back line nearly as well. Playing both (like today) means sacrificing the double #10 system that worked for them so well when they won the league in 17/ 18 and 18/ 19.

I have to say their bench looked absolutely piss weak too. Have they players self-isolating or something?

I don’t think it matters who they have in defence, the way they set up leaves them wide open at the back, Pep is asking far too much out of his defenders.

£300 million on defenders and a striker playing not so long ago in the bottom division scores a hat trick says it all really! Think Man City love the big figure buys to try and intimidate teams but everyone sees past it now they buy terrible defender regardless how much they throw at them.

yes Silva is a huge loss, and they have a couple of dodgy players, midfield and defence, I can see them getting beat a few times while their strikers our out injured .

I think the wheels are falling off the ManC steam engine. Fernandinho ignored Pep's hand when coming off. And what happened to the famous 2 player, 3 player depth of the ManC machine? I wouldn't be surprised if Pep is gone before the transfer window even though the chances are small now, it's so late. On the sidelines he looks like he is lost and doesn't know what to do with the team. His body language is not of someone who is in control. Frustration on his face the entire time.

Pep ahs been signing crap players since he joined them and the list is as long as my arm (and I have long arms) . The likes of Stones, Bravo, Mendy, Zinchenko, Danilo, Nolito etc. BUT he keeps getting away with it cos I guess, NOBODY dare criticize Pep cos he is the Golden Boy and must not be criticized.

I don't really like vardy. I thought he bottled it by staying at Leicester. But they've done quite well, very well considering the competition. Not a big club but are definitely in big club company. And he's been brilliant for them and is more than just a goal scorer this last season or two. He's a decent player.
