Did anyone else notice that Alisson was often looking to play a short pass rather than a longer range kick to launch a counter attack?

Could this be due to the injury he was struggling with before the game?

Red Sandman.

Hope the ambulance got there quick Robbie. That's a nasty blow to the head mid-sentence.

You ok Rob?!

There was a definite tactic yesterday to play Alisson more than normal so as to keep the ball.

I love Alisson but if he has one weakness it’s his left foot. Whenever he kicks with his left foot I do get a little nervous. Doesn’t get the full distance so maybe he goes short with it?

Perhaps he was instructed not to. Each of the back four can make great long distance passes. Even VVD was great in spraying great passes last night. So I think it is not necessary for him to do so.

g1dgo, I did not know a GK had to be two footed. I stand corrected. Pretty sure Ederson a left footer, does not have a right foot. City are very aware of this hence, they never pass him the ball in a way that he has to use his right foot.

WOW Robbiesline you back on the ole Jamaican Woodbines again🤪.

I noticed it too Sandman.
Alisson is one of our best passers in the team so I do think it was related to his injury and not just a tactic.
He did pass long a few times but nothing like he usually does.

RedMeister. Wasn’t having a pop at Alisson. His left foot is weaker than his right. I’ve noticed that only recently. He is playing a sweeper keeper role so yeah he should be two footed ideally. But then again not the end of the world. A lot of players survive with one good foot. Imagine If Salah had a right foot!

That's scary. I have no recollection of writing that. No idea what I'm trying to say.

Does Liverpool banter have its first possession or haunting?
