Has anyone know timescale for ox's injury? Had a little look through couldn't see any timescale or anything. Reminds me a bit of the first one he suffered (roma champs league) club didn't seem to clarify much and sort of avoid questions on it then months later come out how severe it was, wondering if this the same?

{Ed002's Note - The club has not said in any of the Press Releases about injuries.}

Agree0 Disagree0

It doesn’t look good. Long term I believe.

Think they were saying at the time it was similar to Hendo's who was out for about 2 months. Ox has the injury about six weeks now I think.

The injury against Roma was different I'm sure as I think we all knew his season was over as it was torn ACL which is always long term. He did end up missing 14 months or something when an ACL tear takes 7 or 8 months as the best case recovery so people initially aim for that but it's often longer.

I do remember joe Gomez missing so long despite us all thinking he was only facing weeks out.

I haven't heard much on AOC either but I imagine the club aren't getting too many questions asked by the press either when our midfield is so stacked lately and AOC unlikely to be considered for a while even after his injury. If he struggles with another prolonged spell out I'd be very concerned for his future at Liverpool being able to kick on again. He's at that age where he can't afford wasted seasons and with a career of inconsistent fitness already while his strenghts in his play rely on his athleticism. With the amount of competitive midfield options we have now his availability is crucial to any chance of him becoming an important player for us. Klopp and the players love him but like lallana showed with his struggles eventually a time comes when he needs to be fit and firing sooner rather than later. He's had 3 full seasons now and arguably only a 6 month spell of settled regular starting impact for us.

Another season spent in and out injured would be an awful shame for the lad.
