I think we must congratulate both the managers. The philosophies of these managers, I admire the most. Bielsa, Pep, Klopp, Ancelotti . boy o boy we have some master tacticians here. Not undervaluing Wilder, Rodgers etc. It is definitely a good league to watch.

Great game of football that. City where absolutely running Leeds ragged for 20 mins and then just shut off completely, strange to see that. Well played Leeds though, I’m glad they got stuck in and not only gave them a game but completely bossed them about for a good portion of it.
Going to try and watch as much of Leeds as possible this season they are really enjoyable to watch.
City look like they have thrown the towel in already.

City look so strong only when they suffocate teams and play with full steam. That's not sustainable for 90 mins though and because they couldn't put the game to bed in the first quarter and inevitably their aggression decreased and Leeds were brave to attack and bring it to city when they saw the chance.

City are either unbelievable or far off the pace. They are showing weakness in terms of managing games. They've scored the opener within 20 mins of each game this year but went on then to let Leeds and Leicester take points off them and create many chances.

This is due to city not applying a consistent focused pressing intensity throughout the game like we've seen from the players in kompany from defence, fernandinho in midfield and aguero or Jesus are always busy in occupying defences. They no longer have that leader in defence, rodri is tidy in possession but far from as effective out of possession as fernandinho used to be. With no recognised striker and dodgy full backs getting little protection from their wingers city are now unable to be dominant for long enough to put teams away.

David Silva could read the game so well and had the ability to control the tempo when needed but foden is still young and not tactically able to give that. Bernardo Silva and de bruyne both are good workers off the ball but without fernandinho and David silva controlling midfield behind them and top strikers in front causing problems city now go through large periods where they are a yard behind every action and credit to bielsa and other managers who no longer back off city with caution and fear that was evident before last season.
