Before allison joined us he only missed 19 days football, since that he has been injured 120 days excluding the upcoming injury which he could be out minimum 50 days to 70 .
This current injury is his shoulder which when u think about it is a very important area and I am hoping he comes back strong, but I can't lie his injuries are causing concern when patterns start forming like we have seen with so many of our key players matip, ox, hendo, shaq, keita I am preying allison doesn't follow there trend .

Agree5 Disagree0

Allison got injured during a collision in training. Happens all the time so no trend is at work here. It is an occupational hazard of any contact sport. Nothing to see here.

If there is nothing too see I am glad you are commenting on my post cheers .

You're looking into this far too much imo mate. I understand your concern but I don't believe you have any reason to be concerned, he is injured because of a freak accident, it can happen to anybody. He is not an injury prone player this was just pure bad luck.

I don't agree, in 5 years before joining us 19 days injured, since his second season 160 days half a year he has been injured it needs to be observed as its leaving a huge gaping hole in goal .

Hailstones

What are you suggesting, we get rid of Allison and make Adrian no.1?!

You have been prattling on about Allison's injury record for a while now but what is your actual point?

06 Oct 2020 04:05:53
I agree with Hailstones, Allison has had his fair share of injuries for a keeper, and more than I would have expected. He has missed large parts of each season he has been here.

06 Oct 2020 07:51:44
Rubbish shughes55. He played all 38 league games and all CL games in his 1st season. So he has not "missed large parts of each season".

06 Oct 2020 08:09:28
Ok then, he has missed large parts of each season barring his first. is that better?

Hailstones, this is non story and stop trying to read any more than it is. As Sbandy said, you have been on this Ali's back about this for a while now so let it go. He is not getting sold and is not getting replaced to move on.

Big Al got hurt during a collision in training. That is all. If you don't want Alisson to get hurt esp. in a position where there are bodies around him trying to get the ball then ask him to retire and move on with his life. And YES, there is nothing to see here apart from you trying to make a mountain out of a spec of sawdust.

He pulled his calf and missed games. He's dislocated a shoulder and will miss a few games. There are far bigger "injury prone" players in the club.

I think its a case of when it rains it pours. As Allison has always seemed to be injury free prior to the start of last season. I read that the injury was from contact with another player in training and as someone said earlier these things happen. The only minor concerning thing for me is why are we having contact training the day before or day of games. Especially someone trying to challenge the keeper. Hopefully Allison gets wrapped in cotton wool now for the rest of the season as we badly need him.

Spot on, JK23. That is the real question that needs to be asked instead of all this rubbish about Ali being injury prone cos he had 3 injuries in 2 years YET playing a full season with no injuries.
