Couldn't really care less for International football but i am over the moon for Conor Coady. Could tell it meant a lot to him last night and he fully deserves it. Good for him!

I don't get the hate for international football. Okay, its not as exciting as pl. But it is still the beautiful game that we all love.

And its interesting to see our players in different set ups, in different positions. Robbo was part of a 5 man mf for Scotland last night and he is a different guy on the pitch. He is one of our most loved players. But for Scotland he is an absolute super star. Cl, pl, cwc winner. Was so close for a free kick. Made me think perhaps salah should let Robbo have a go now zznd then.

And I like an international tournament. Especially when your team goes on a run. I like the way it brings the country together.

I very rarely miss a Liverpool game, and I rarely catch an England game. But when you get two of the big teams going at it, it can be great.

Each to their own but I can't stand watching England. I'd rather watch paint dry.

{Ed025's Note - im with you salah..

Conner Coady is a great example to young players. He leaves Liverpool for £500,000, a pittance! Plays for a few teams in the Championship and now plays in the PL and for England. Good on him, just goes to show what can be done if you keep the head down and work hard 👍.

Try being Welsh 😂.

With a condense season friendlies are a disgrace to have to play.

{Ed025's Note - absolutely lancaster..

I’m worried about the possible C.V. implications of all international football, particularly for the players going to South America. Crazy.
Having said that, the game last night at Wembley will have done Joe Gomez a world of good, get that horrible night at the Villa out of his system.
Neco did ok too.

International football in a time like this baffles me, why is it allowed to go on?

09 Oct 2020 13:15:09
Yeah, I can agree with you on that salah my mate? Ridiculous.

09 Oct 2020 13:52:05
I just don't understand it robbie. Kind of like I don't understand how we're all allowed to travel to different countries, it makes no sense to me mate it should've been completely shut down until we're sorted, sod the airlines, there's much more at stake. I don't get it but we can go on about this until we're blue in the face can't we? To be honest the be all and end all is all international football should be completely shut down and that includes the champions league, the lot of it.

Robbie, I grew up watching int'l football and I LOVE it. My first WC was Mexico '86. My first Euros where Germany '88 and my first AFCON was Morocco '88. Need I say more? I can kind of understand why many England fans hate int'l footie cos let's face it, England are crap and have been crap for 50 years. I would hate int'l footie too if my national team was that bad.

{Ed025's Note - who is your national team RM?..

09 Oct 2020 15:27:48
I love watching the GAWA but then there is no expectations on our wee country to do anything. We are littered with reserved team players, lower league players and old age pensioners. So when we do punch above our weight, which we do regularly its fantastic. I can't understand anyone who doesn't support their country. I very thought just seems abnormal to me.

I wouldn't say hate is the right word. Important games and tournaments are great. Pointless friendlies and boring qualifiers in the middle of the prem season annoy me.

09 Oct 2020 17:35:59
I love the international window as it gives me time to catch up on the soaps 😂.

09 Oct 2020 17:36:43
Ed2, my national team is Nigeria.

{Ed025's Note - oh right, some good players have hailed from nigeria and everton have benefited from a few..

10 Oct 2020 04:23:10
England are crap but Nigeria aren’t crap? Even the best Nigerian teams of the 90’s couldn’t get to the World Cup quarterfinals.

10 Oct 2020 07:54:51
@the Irish Rover are you Northern Irish so? Also what's GAWA or was that an auto correct?

Very nearly a playoff final for the Euros Northern Ireland v the Republic - that would have been cool to see.

I also enjoy watching competitive international matches, as in not the friendlies.

13 Oct 2020 08:45:19
Italian 90 was my first wc. Scilatchi fir Italy. Platy for England. (was ghat 90 of 94? The amazing volley)

{Ed025's Note - ahh..that explains things then..
