Hi there. First time posting but all the talk recently about HG players has caught my eye. With regards to the club trained quota, if we were to resign say Connor Coady, Martin Kelly, Danny Ward etc, would they still class as club trained if we've sold them previously?

And also is the situation dire enough that we'd consider the likes of Kelly to come back as a squad player 4th choice?

{Ed002's Note - (a) If they meet the criterial of spending a year registered for the club before their 19th birthday, then yes. (b) No, that won't be happening.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Interesting Ed002. So when Pitaluga turns 21, will he be classed as club trained (assuming he doesn't spend time out on loan), but not homegrown? Or will he qualify as both? Or neither?

{Ed002's Note - Both.}

I know this is probably hard to answer. But do you know where the new lad stands in the pecking order? Is he no3? No2? No5?

{Ed002's Note - He is 17 - he will not be in the first team squad.

He actually is named in the first team squad Ed002. It's on the official club site. He's been added to the first team page.

However the signing announcement states clearly he will train with the first team whilst playing for the clubs academy teams.

{Ed002's Note - That is only because they have space.}

We seem to have a large number of young keepers still at the club, do you think we will see a few move out on loan?

{Ed002's Note - They have added two kiddies and also have had Javi Cendon training with the squad. Four GKs have left this summer so I think it will stay as it is for now.}

That's why I asked mk mate, I heard he was named in the first team squad which I thought a bit odd as he is a kid. But then I've read that he is very highly thought of and I thought maybe he'd been brought in to give Adrian a run for his money. Which if that was the case it would be extremely exciting as he is so young. We could be looking at the next Ray clemence.
