I cannot believe that. Pickford not even booked for a knee height, two footed scissor challenge because they "didn't look at it", but they can freeze frame a level offside decision, and whip out a vernier calipers to determine that Mane's shoulder was maybe 1/ 1000th of an inch offside.

VAR is not fit for purpose.

I'm sure it'll be dismissed as 'bitterness' or clever blokes will come along to say 'well we still conceded two poor goals, it shouldn't have mattered, I'm clever etc. etc. ', but I don't care. That was absolute nonsense and anyone who says otherwise or tries to play down how utterly utterly bad that was is wrong, simple as that.

It's as close as I think we'll ever see to a team be intentionally cheated out of a win in the Premier League.

Spot on mate, couldn't agree more, it's really pissed me off.

I don't think its VAR that's the issue its idiots using it. We have been cheated today plain and simple. Embarrassing officiating.

Still struggling with the last call, is level not on side anymore?

Just had another look at the "offside" and it's worse than I thought. It looks like they've drawn their precious bloody line from his elbow, not his shoulder. Not a part of his body he can score with is it?

Incompetence of the highest order.

Who is looking at these decisions. This is ruining football. Surely these are clear cut decisions.

the line is really confusing. is it from the 'top of the shoulder' that is considered ok? but the line they have drawn doesn't look like it comes from the top of the shoulder or anywhere near it. literally looks like it's drawn down from Mane's elbow?

anyways I'm actually ok with VAR for offsides. cos I think if it's offside, no matter how marginal then it is offside. but that picture, like some others, just doesn't look very clear.

Next time pickFord faces an offside striker he'll drop kick him in the face. Then it'll be suplex's and flying closelines. Coz a player is minutely offside (no way Jp could've known that) its okay to foul him.

I think dcl is looking great this season but if Everton play like that all year they won't be finishing top four. I really didn't want to feel bitter if we didn't win today but its hard not to feel so when we out fought them, out thought them out worked them and out classed them and were on the end of so many poor decisions.

Tbf to evdrton they put up a fight, could easily have rolled over after one nil early on. Thiago was fantastic and Henderson. The whole midfield did well. Vvd will be a huge miss though.

Reminds me of the "arm-pit" offside on Bobby vs Villa last season. Nobody said a damn thing about it cos LFC won the game at the end. This just goes to show how brilliant our title win was last season. Look at all the crap we had to overcome to win last season. It will be the same thing this season, mark my words.
