Dermot Gallagher said that the decision to give a red card to Pickford after the offside had been called was up to the VAR officials and that the decision was a SUBJECTIVE one as to whether the offence was a reckless tackle or violent conduct.
Tim Cahill made a good point that VAR is there to take away subjective decisions and if your going to have video evidence then the laws need to be black and white.
For me, two feet off the ground, looking at the player and miles from the ball. Pickford should have been off as soon as they saw the replay.

{Ed025's Note - he should have gone IDOG but its gone now, buy another box of tissues and a new dummy and just move on mate.. :)

Ed025 as a football fan you surely can’t be happy with what we’ve seen today, can you?

{Ed025's Note - why not bram?, i cant control what VAR do mate, it was a good if robust game of football with chances at both ends and a bit of controversy so whats not to like mate?..

I actually care less about the result of the game than i do about VAR ruining my favorite sport, Ed. Its been diabolical since day one and no better than on-field decisions. All teams are affected, not just Liverpool.

{Ed025's Note - im with you mate..

Exactly Gini.
You have a great spectacle with 22 players giving it some but none of that has any effect as the result is decided off the field.

{Ed025's Note - thats fair comment bram, VAR is a joke mate..

I wonder if that was your opinion IDream mate when we had many decisions go our way last season . Overall LFC had done quite well out of VAR.

Cloacina which decisions mate? I remember a few going against us last season as well.

Cheers ed25, trying to stay fair!
I have no problem with Everton in this, thought Pickford and Ricky added to the spectacle of the game at least they’re out there putting themselves on the line to be judged. Then you have some unseen fella in a shed deciding the outcome of the game - crazy!

I suggest, if we are to continue with VAR, that they have to sit in a little glass shed in the corner of the ground and make their decisions from there. That’d be interesting 😂.

{Ed025's Note - just get rid i say bram and go back to old fashioned refereeing mistakes and all mate..
